The castle itself is not that big but really nice. The view is amazing from every single corner in the castle. The roads to get to the area is bad. The parking area is crowded and many drivers were not following the roles. It took us about 30 minutes to park (on 200 meter long street).

I'm bewildered by the existence of such historic monument located on a mountain range. The atmosphere is reflective of the sanctity the dwellers/rulers of the time attached to it. I was equally filled with great reverence owing to the fact that this ancient castle is situated at a point previously used as an alternative route for ancient silk trade. This piece of wonder is truly worthy of visiting...

This castle is located close to polavet waterfalls unless you are visiting the waterfalls I wouldn’t recommend visiting the castle. Well its very old historical castle but very small The view is picturesque and indescribable. you have to pay 3 TL to enter the castle. There is not much to do or see it’s very small anyway.

Many informational signs and well-preserved. Fantastic views of the valley and definitely worth the drive to see it.
An amazing historic site, worth to visit in your blacksea tour; Dates back to 1000 A.D. one of the rare historic castles, largely preserved in the black sea region. You can feel how this castle was so important when you see the mauntionous geography that surrounds it. Should be included in must-visited list. Be careful with children due to heights and long walls.

Great historical place, but small and I think unless you are staying at Ayder for few days, you don't need to drive hours to visit.
