Hidden away in Hengchun's old town, off the main street, is this small japanese-style restaurant. Freshly renovated, it offers space for 10+ visitors. Most dishes consist of deep-fried pork or chicken, which is served with a side of cabbage, condiments, and some small, typical platters. The most popular dishes are arguably the cordon bleu, i.e. cheese filled pork, and the karage chicken. Prices clock in at around 220 to 250 ntd, which is very reasonable.
Upstairs the owners also offer an apartment for up to 6 persons, in case you want to stay another day in Hengchun.
Lovely atmosphere, good portions and a variety of sauces to choose from for your cutlet. Not exactly the same as Japan, but this is Taiwan, so just enjoy this variation. 😊
