During my short trip to Karaganda, I have been looking for the best shashlyk and while I heard a lot of good feedback about this place, I must say i left disappointed.
We ordered 2 bottles of wine, 3 kebabs (2 lamb and 1 beef), liver plate, couple salads, and we also ordered cheese flatbread and a cheesecake for the desert. We placed an order and then immediately asked the waitress to cancel the cheese bread, she came back saying that the administration refused it while confirming that bread wasn't placed yet in the oven.
We arrived at 6pm, the place was empty, it took so long to get water, wine was brought to our table and then we had to flag someone to open the bottle. Thats service.
The food was just poor. Kebabs were dry and overcooked. Liver was brought to the table lukewarm, not hot. Salads were ok.
Total for 2 people was $60. for what we had its definitely overpriced.
Everything seems good, the cousin was tasty and delightful. However, the taste of shashlyk has been changed since I was here a few years ago. Good place for eating out with friends.
Good quality low price, very popular local place, opt for their shishkebabs - and they have decent choice of wine, just remember white ones are not chilled
