Food was ok but a little on the pricey side maybe due to CNY. Booked 2 tables for 20 pax and was assigned a "VIP" room with gigantic round table and karaoke machine but was not informed of the minimum spending charge of RM2388. Fish is tasty, but the head is not cooked thoroughly. Still 50%raw. The seafood fried rice is tasty, but for the price it’s quite a rip-off, only small-cut prawns no other seafood in it. The spicy chicken is a little too dry, but the cabbage was really tasty. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Flavorful suan cai yu, lots of variety, large portion sizes, and sufficient use of the sichuan peppercorn and chili. Their pumpkin pie (pumpkin glutinous rice with red bean filling) is freshly fried so it's served hot and crispy (not too sweet, nice mouthful texture, the sesame seed is fragrant). However, other dishes we had was just ok; Salted Egg Yolk pumpkin is sweet - (chef added sugar 😱), stir fried eggplant has good texture but a bit bland (though this balances out the saltiness from suan cai yu), scallion cold steam chicken (a bit tough and without the scallion oil is bland). Menu is bilingual 👏👏👏 (great benefit for non Chinese readers). Restaurant is fully air conditioned, and has sufficient space gaps between tables to avoid feeling congested. Food is typical east northern China food. However, quite disappointed with the ma po tohu as the black bean not chopped in fine pieces. The water cook fish has missing two important ingredients spring prout and soya bean skin.... Overall the foods are relatively oily if to follow Malaysian standard. I am fine with it but no my family favorite. Price wise it is $$$ standard as we spent RM181 for that 4 courses. Despite of that, this restaurant is worth to visit to try real authentic east northern China food. We will visit again to try other food.
