Nasty and smoky inside and nowhere to sit. We had a small group and as we headed to a table, we were told it was reserved for someone else. An empty table. And nobody waiting. So we left. Don’t bother. It ain’t all that unless you just plan to sit and get drunk and smell like smoke and regret. You’ll probably need a tetanus shot after you leave. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

I visited this place many times back in late 80’s early 90’s when I lived in Weatherford because their burger was the best in all of Texas. I remember a world map that they would pin it indicating where their visitors were from and a log book that visitors would log their name. I wonder if they still have it. My wish is to visit one day although I now am home on the other side of the world. Love what you do and judging from all the pictures posted I am assuming the atmosphere have not changed a bit since I last visited some 30 plus years. Wonderful food and people. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Burger was good. The Woody's sauce is great. Being cash only would make it a difficult place to just stop and have a beer and burger since I don't carry a lot of cash. Price per person $30–50 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Great little place, server was great, but the burger was not worth the trip. Been hyping ourself up about these burgers, but they were frozen patties for one, and the meat tasted like it was bad. Hope we don't get sick, but good place besides the food. Not to bad on price either. Price per person $10–20 Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

We stayed at the Crazy Water Hotel for 2 nights ... we asked for recommendations and Woody's came HIGHLY recommended so we decided to go for lunch ... we were told they had the best burgers in town, which may have be true for Mineral Wells, but Best Burger in Texas? I don't think so, but then, everyone has their own opinion of what a "best burger" is! It's very dark inside, I guess as you would expect from a bar ... it's very old and the table we sat it had lots of exposed wires beside us and lots of dust ... there were many patrons, lots of men workers stopping by for lunch ... their prices are very good, simple menu with lots of add-on options ... they only offer chips, no fries and drinks are canned ... they do offer indoor and outdoor seating...they also have a pool table.

The burger was everything a burger should be, straightforward with the normal toppings. Service was efficient and excellent. Cash and check only, they do have an ATM. If ATM says out of order the bartender will reboot it. Great prices and fresh burgers we will be back.

The woodys of old is gone and along with it their once delicious moist Smokey burgers. We received an overcooked disk for a meat patty. The staff is very friendly. And the cigarette smoke in the small establishment is unforgivable. I started coming to woodys 48 years ago. Might be awhile before I return.

Those hamburgers come in several sizes. The basic burger is HUGE. Seating is very limited. Staff of smiling young ladies. Limited selection of beers. Don’t come for the beer! Come for the burger.

We've been in Mineral Wells for a few months now and from day one everyone we know said we had to try the burgers at Woody's. They were not wrong! Me and the wife both got double cheeseburgers and they were delicious! The perfect greasy cheeseburger, add some jalapenos to really set it off! Make sure to bring cash as they do not accept credit / debit cards, however there is an ATM on site.

If you know... you know... Woody's has been around like 100 years.. ok wait.. 60 years.. I DON'T KNOW... More than 3, ok???... 😆 But seriously, great burgers, they sell beer but BYOL, yes, you can smoke inside... but you better bring cash becausethey do not take DC or CC, you might be able to write a check but ask before you order.. 😆 There was only one time we went there without cash. I just thought I'll immediately get some cash from the ATM. It was out of order. Good thing I checked... lol. AND DON'T ASK FOR FF OR ONION RINGS... but get the plain Layes and jalapeño slices...
