There were two of us without a reservation. Be sure to try the fruit juices (mango, orange, etc.). They taste incredibly aromatic and are homemade. I ate shrimps/shrimps with a spicy sauce (really hot) and squid/calamari in an onion/herb/soy sauce. Served with a bowl of rice. Both meals were good, but didn't knock my socks off. The rice is excellent, like everywhere else in Asia. My colleague ordered a pork goulash, which he was not thrilled with (overcooked and tasteless, quite greasy and streaked with flax). I would come again just for the fruit juices and the very nice service. The food was mediocre, but the price was great.

The staff are friendly. Good service. Ordered the Vegetarian assam fish. It’s not too bad. Also ordered the Petai Prawns which were pretty fresh. If you’re up for a quick meal, this place is pretty decent.

This Nonya restaurant is a hidden gem. All the dishes have different sauces and tastes. The spicy garlic bean curd has this amazing taste.

One of the best cendol in Melaka IMO. However the price increased RM1 from 2022 to 2023. If i go back this year unsure if price will go up again. Other than that leaking roof was only other complaint that we had

Nyonya Cendol
Food is delicious, owner is friendly, dessert like cendol is also ver nice ... price is reasonable. Location is near Jonker Street, away from main lane so has lesser crowd. However, serving is a bit slow hence ... gave 4 stars. But I will be back next time if coming to Malacca again.
2nd visit Dec 23: Babi ponteh is ver good. Service is much better, not crowded when I visited. Lady boss is kind and shows us how to eat blah keluak with rice. We had omelette cincaruk, assam stingray, chicken buah keluak, baby ponteh and chap chai. Price wise a bit steep as found the portion quite little.

If you're looking to enjoy a Peranakan meal, I would strongly advise against visiting this place. Right from the start, we encountered issues with the order-taking app, and the poor lady attending to us struggled to complete our orders in a timely manner.
We decided to order Beef Rendang, Babi Pongteh, Assam fish, Ngoh Hiang, and a sambal vegetable dish. Unfortunately, the food was a disappointment. The rendang meat was tough and chewy, the Assam fish gravy had an unpleasant fishy taste, and the Ngoh Hiang looked as if it had been bought from a supermarket. The only dish that met our expectations was the Babi Pongteh.
When we brought up the issue of the stale-tasting Assam fish to the owner, they were kind enough to offer us another dish as a gesture of goodwill. However, the replacement fish was not cooked thoroughly, leaving us disappointed once again.
To make matters worse, the portion sizes were small, and yet we ended up paying just under 200 ringgit for our unsatisfying meal.
Given the subpar food quality and overall experience, I have no intention of returning to this restaurant, despite the satisfactory service we received.

I think it is overrated comparing to others nyonya food around Melaka. Perhaps we went during the school holiday season but it shouldn't be that bad if is reputable.
1) Waiting queue is long - this is acceptable as is during holiday season
2) Once we step in, there is only 2 or 3 staff serving all the tables
3) Food ordering is via app and it is not user friendly! Takes us another 10 to 15 minutes to understand and browse around the menu
4) Overall, Food is not that tasty and the assam stingray is hard. Chendol is just average
5) Very long waiting time for food
6) Pricy comparing to the quality of food
Will not recommend this restaurant though. If you have transport, travel out of Jonker for much nicer and affordable price nyonya food.

Lemak nenas squid taste very good with milky pineapple in it, and sambal petai prawns with a lil bit spicy but very tasty 😋
With reasonable price and will come visit again.

The location is just at a side street along Jonker Street (turn from Geographer). The food is average but still quite authentic nyonya food. There are probably better ones at Melaka. The restaurant is clean and air-conditioned.
