My 16 year old autistic son wanted to try this restaurant. He has been enjoying trying new food places and researched Whistle Britches. The atmosphere was so cute. I love the little two person booths. The lighting and decor was awesome. We order the crispy chicken tacos and my son had the smash burger and Mac and cheese. My son ended up switching the Mac n cheese for French fries. The Mac n cheese is home made and not what he was expecting. I tasted the Mac n cheese and it was very creamy and rich. I liked it, it was just not for my son. We want to come back and try other options on the menu. I had the chance to visit here from out of town with my family for me and my daughter birthday. The atmosphere wasn't accommodating to the table we needed that was available we we arrived but was given to another party that didn't have 7 people. When we finally found seating we wasn't at all great by the young lady who was our waitress which we had to ask her name Stella. We noticed that we didn't have to lunch menu on the table because it was soon to be lunch time and she basically refused to give us the menus to overlook them. So she when lunch menu came we all ordered. I had the fried green tomatoes with the dill orka appetizer which was amazing so was the margarita!!! My daughter ordered And I then ordered the chicken Cobb salad no bacon. My daughter had the jalapeño bread and chicken tacos. My daughter food came back right but my salad was obviously topped with a can chicken or can cat food because for $18 I was utterly appalled!!!! I wouldn't recommend this place for anything after drinks and appetizers and Stella ha an attitude the entire time rolling and cutting her eyes as if we wasn't going to tip her and we did ..good too yet she didn't deserve one red cent . Whistle Britches is awesome! We loved the deviled eggs, the Cobb salad, and the Chicken Benny. Zero wait at 2pm on a Saturday and the service was attentive. This place is great! I wish I could try their fried catfish. Meal type Brunch Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

First of all, lots of food for your money! My wife and I split a meal and there was plenty to keep us both happy. We were there for the brunch menu and grabbed a variety of things with our guests. Chicken and waffles, pancakes and chicken, brussel sprouts, Mac and cheese, corn fritters and a couple of brunch cocktails. Overall, great food, atmosphere and service. Chicken was moist and well fried, brussel sprouts are a have to have. Only downside was the carb portion of our meals were slightly dry, not unpleasant, but noticeable, and the Mac and cheese needed something to boost the mild cheeses a bit. Definitely want to come back for the full menu! Will be here next time we are in Southlake. Chicken, biscuits, beer...that says it all. Those are the things I had! All good. Also the cornbread and the other dishes people in my group had looked great. All thumbs up from everyone! If looking for a place to eat in Southlake, this is a good casual place to get some good food and drinks. Pretty close to the highway as well so convenient. I went to this place for dinner. The ambiance is very good. The staff were great. They accommodated my request for a virgin drink by whipping up Cherry, something which was very good. They have a bar, btw. The food was very good as well. I had Crispy Corn Fritters, which was soooo good. The sauce which it came with was amazing. Then I had a Hot Dang sandwich, which was Tennessee spicy and was perfect for my Indian tongue. Highly recommend the place. Will be coming again. I don't know the background of this restaurant but I love the name. We stopped here before a concert in the town square. We were greeted and seated quickly and our waiter arrived promptly for drink orders. The menu is chicken heavy but it's delicious chicken. We ordered hotcakes and chicken, chicken and waffles, a bacon and fried green tomato and lettuce sandwich, and one of their newer items, a Pastrami on rye. Everything was top notch. Large crispy breaded chicken strips, tasty waffle and pancakes, and both sandwiches were great. Check it out. There are a lot of good restaurants in that area. This is another one. Absolutely the best fried chicken I have had since grandma made it! Service was amazing and friendly. Be sure to ask for Toby, he is attentive and precise with his orders! He also makes a great cocktail! Ask him to make a strawberry mule! Had the corn fritters for appetizer and they were served piping hot! So delicious!
