Picked up a special bday cake for grandson. 52$. Took home, they said don't open it here because it's too big, Got home, opened it an d saw they wrote the wrong name!. SMH

My experience with this bakery team has been less than ideal. It started with my attempt to place a custom cake order online. I designed the cake, got all the way to the check out page and received an error message telling me to call the bakery directly.
I first called the bakery on 9/12/22 to attempt to place the order. The phone rang non-stop and was never answered. It's entirely possible it was off the hook.
Today on 9/13 I reattempted this order both online and by calling. When I called someone did answer, and I explained what was happening, "the website isn't working and I'd like to place a cake order for tomorrow PM or Wednesday AM pick up." I was handed off to FOUR different people, repeating the information to each one. When the last person ( person #5) stated they were going to get someone else, I let them know I wouldn't be ordering after all.
The last person I spoke to didn't even work in the bakery, he was just handed the phone with no explanation.
There is either a clear lack of training here and/or lack of caring about a customer attempting to place an order.
It is what it is at this point, The cakes cost less here than H-E-B but H-E-B knows how to take a phone order, so I'll be doing that moving forward.
I gave this two stars for the availability of online ordering and because the last guy I spoke with over the phone was actually really friendly and apologized for not being able to help as it wasn't even his department.
Online ordering is pointless if it doesn't work and if the team responsible for the orders doesn't know how check for them or take an order over the phone in the event it doesn't work.
