I was there on a Thursday night, great atmosphere! The bar was busy and I got to sit next to these huge windows and look out at the snow and mountains while I had a drink and dinner. The helles beer is very good! I even got a 6 pack to bring home. I will definitely go here again when I am back in Stowe
The Bierhall is a good place to go for dinner. The food is pretty good and the experience continues on the Austria in Vermont feel you get with von Trapp. This place is also very busy, it was super noisy and the service was a little slow at times. The dessert was really good! Prices here are middle to high range for dinner, but that’s as expected in this area. I would recommend trying it out if you’re thinking about it, just make sure to get a reservation!!
A little better then average! Amazing space but not 5-star hospitality and service. Food was also average. Definitely worth going as it was historic and amazing ambiance.

Absolutely amazing place. We walked in to amazement on how beautiful the building is. The bierhall is beautifully illuminated at night. We sat at the bar and had great conversation with the bartenders and enjoyed some amazing beer. (I recommend the Dunkel if your into dark and smooth brown ales, and the UberTrosten is also a high octane smooth beer). We had a couple apps including the bratwurst which really hit the spot after a day of skiing. We had the ribeye and chicken snitzel for dinner,.. both were incredible. One of the best meals we have had while visiting Stowe, VT. I definetly recommend this place if you are in town!

Went here after spending the day at Stowe. Got the Gose and the Chez one. Both were phenomenal! My friends also got the Vienna and they enjoyed that one so much they got a 6 pack to go! I got the beer pretzel and my friend got the 3 sausages. If you are in the area you got to make sure to make a stop here.

We were referred by a local and were expecting a bit of a tourist trap. Instead we ended up having a delicious dinner. The beer hall and restaurant are a bit cavernous with an over abundance of game trophy heads on the wall. But the beer and the food was fantastic. We all ordered a side salad which was loaded with tomatoes, beets, cucumbers and lettuce. It was a bit heavy on dressing but the veggies were very flavorful. I had the salmon which had an amazing maple dressing- it wasn’t too sweet or overpowering and complimented the well-portioned and perfectly cooked meat. It came with a large portion of vegetables and farro - the veggies were a bit crunchy and not overcooked, really perfect with the salmon. The Chicken Schnitzel was great- very tender, excellent flavors and a good size portion. The Burger was large and juicy, very flavorful. We finished up with the Apple Strudel because when in (faux) Austria… it was huge, warm and not too sweet. We split it three ways and still couldn’t finish it. Definitely recommended- and get a reservation!
Loved the bratwurst & spaetzle, great selection of beers to choose from. Does get busy- maybe call ahead. The bier hall is set off from the actual lodge which is a few minutes away (not far). While you’re here think about getting a hiking pass and head up to the Von Trapp Family Chapel (it’s in the woods, on top of a hill just behind the lodge)

We started with disc golf around 930am, by the time we were done there was about 15 minutes before they opened. I tried to make last minute reservations online but was unsuccessful. So we waited for opening knowing we may not get a table. They seated us right away! We enjoyed EVERY BIT of our meal and drinks. The Radler is AMAZING! we started w the pretzel & beer cheese, split the bratwurst and crackers & dips tray. They were out of hummus but I wasn't sad (more trout dip for us!). Plus the view does NOT SUCK! Is it cheap? No. Is it astronomical? No. I think for the atmosphere, the delicious food and drink, it was 100% worth it.
We ordered a beer and rootbeer as well as some pretzels. Root beer was nice and sweet, I could tell it was authentic. Keep in mind pretzels take a long time to cook and are very expensive at $15 for 2 small pretzels. Also we were never told that we needed to go get the food ourselves and that it wouldn’t be served to our table, so we were waiting around for a loooong time. Cheese sauce with the pretzels is a must. The decor is certainly…unique. There’s a lot of taxidermy, which is not my taste at all, but that is just my own humble opinion. If you are a beer lover, put this on your to-do list.

First off, Great beer and setting!! The price of the food is a bit high but definitely get the pretzel and bear cheese dip anyway. Really wish they would offer beer flights again.
