We frequent this establishment and the food is good but the service varies. We used to go every other Saturdays until a server white woman was rudely sarcastic with an attitude attended us so now we just every so often but avoid that woman’s area by telling the hostesses wherever we want to sit. I definitely recommend the Polish Sausage and Eggs breakfast. It’s the plate I order every time I visit. It’s good and you get to choose the hash browns or house potatoes and also toast or bagel. My wife and I hadn't been here in a while but we were happily surprised to see that it's actually even better than it was before! We had the Corned Beef and Cabbage; and The Ruben sandwich. The portions are a great size and we took home plenty of to-go food! Our server was present; without being annoying, which is always a huge plus for us! This is truly a New York style diner/deli. The sandwiches are fabulous and the menu is robust. The Reuben sandwich is truly the best around. They also have some nice dessert options. The service was abrupt, but it felt like we were working with a truly New York waitress 😄. My big brother took me here years ago and not much has changed but the area has. This place is still great! Best sandwiches, my favorite is the House Sandwich. The turkey and dressing is amazing!! The desserts are some of the best around. 40 or 35 yrs ago was my 1st visit. Glad it's still open!! Stopped by here today to grab a quick bite to eat. I ordered the make your own sandwich with hot pastrami since it was recommended. I also got the fried okra with a lemonade to drink. Everything was so fresh and delicious. The guy at the register was nice and patient since it was my first time there. There was a lady who I believe was the manager, she was also nice and spoke to me about the new beer specials and so forth. I’ve been here for breakfast and lunch and have enjoyed both meals. The sausages they use are great, the biscuits are large and fluffy, and they cook their grits very well. Great place for breakfast all day, which greatly appeals to me. New York style diner and deli that has a pretty large menu to accommodate everyone. Great local spot for Saturday morning coffee meetings, luncheon's, etc. Homemade corned beef hash with peppers and onions along with rye toast. Delicious hole in the wall restaurant that serves breakfast all day and amazing deli eats. It gives off a very old diner restaurant vibe, has a huge menu for selection, but everything I had was great. I definitely recommend the House Special Sandwich - that and the steak fries well exceeded my expectations. It was a lot of food that didn’t make me feel terrible after eating it all. The prices are very fair, and the service was amazing, especially considering we went late at night (thanks, Jewel!). Overall, a great place to dine with lots of seating and choices.
