Went here and grabbed some of the lunch specials with friends. I was worried the service would suffer because there was a large party going on that could easily distract the staff. Fortunately the service was great and so was the food. While the food is decent, I wouldn’t want to pay full menu price for it, so I recommend sticking to the specials. The food is delicious and the service was great. My sister and I split a steak that was on special, a burger, and some mozzarella sticks. We also got two drinks from the bar. We’ll definitely be back again! Service Dine in Meal type Other Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Great local bar to have drinks for me personally. I haven't tried much of the food yet but the perfect place to catch the games. Jack has been a stellar bartender! He knows your name within your first couple of visits as well as your drink preference. The staff in general is always nice and welcoming. Great sports bar and great dining experience. The food was terrible no seasoning one the short ribs. Burger was average at best. My son who is not a big salt and pepper person didn’t even like the chicken nuggets. One drink my husband wanted they didn’t even have. My first drink taste like cough syrup. The only thing good was our second drinks. The pretzel and fries. We sent 127 dollars for nothing. Then the host was the buss boy. So it took forever to get a table and she couldn’t even be attentive to the guest coming in. Do not recommend Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

We’ve been to Up North Ale House twice now and both were great experiences. The service is great. Everyone does their part. If our waiter is busy someone else always comes around to check in on us or get more drinks. I cannot say how much I love that as the service quality at restaurants is a huge issue in this country, IMO. The food is delicious, reasonably priced, and it’s usually pretty lively. Our first visit to Up North Ale House was a pleasant surprise. Living in Naperville.for the last 10 years I had never heard of it, but glad I discovered it. There was something on the menu for everyone in my family and the food was delicious. Prices were very reasonable! The salmon was fresh and cooked perfectly. I had grilled wings and they were great! There was a nice large outdoor seating area and we'll definitely be back. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20

The service was ok. The food, not so much. I had a chicken sandwich that was so overcooked, I couldn't bite into it. The fries are served in a metal cup, which gives them a metallic taste, and the portion was very small. I wouldn't go back. Stopped in on a Wednesday for shots before heading to Mr Shesha down the street. James, one of the bartenders, was awesome. They had a special, $5 Patron Silver. They also do 99 boneless wings on Wednesdays, but we didn't eat. They have daily specials, trivia was going on as well. TouchTunes and a few arcade games (I saw 3 from the bar), one being darts (2 machines). Atmosphere was great, we just didn't stay very long. Would definitely go back though! Very disappointed. Seated immediately (clearly not busy)- but not a single person of wait staff checked on our table. Every single member of their staff walked by our table and even looked at us- not a hi or have you been helped. We didn’t even have drinks or asked if we wanted water. 3 parties sat after us and had their drinks and orders in (I observed) and we were still not greeted by anyone. 25 minutes to give benefit of the doubt and nothing. Hostess was very apologetic- but we also were right next to the hostess station so how she didn’t see us not being helped was unreal. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

First time trying this newer spot and enjoyed the atmosphere. Brian our server, helped us navigate the menu and made great first time recommendations. He was great! Definitely want to come back to visit on a Monday or Thursday to try the Chicken Wings. The decor was clean and simple yet inviting. Great space in the back for a larger group.
