It’s hard to get hyped up for fish and chips in a land locked state, but this place is worth a visit. Not your every day chip shop. The fish is always light and flaky and just enough batter to add flavor but not to steal the show. The varieties of fries and sauces make for a different experience every time. My girls and I love this place for dine in and take out!

Fish and Chips
Two of us ordered two pieces of fish. I believe they said it was red snapper. The fish was good, but I prefer cod or halibut if it’s fresh battered. The fries were good and I liked the garlic cream sauce they added to mine. I’m looking forward to trying some of their other sauces on my next visit. Service was helpful and friendly and it seemed like the staff cared about making customers happy.

French Fries
This place is a hidden gem! I am from the east coast and have been to Europe and have had authentic fish and chips. This place is absolutely delicious. The fish taste light and fresh and not too heavy. The truffle parmesean sauce on the fries is also amazing. Highly recommend 😊. The owner is also very kind. I am excited to try the other things on the menu

Fish and Chips
Honestly, the food tastes fine, but the portion is very small for its price. You could go to Costco and get 3 lbs of the same fish for $20, and they charge you $14 for mediocre fries and 2 pieces of fried fish that are barely the size of a fist. And the mango curry sauce was so bland. I couldn't taste either of the mango or the curry. And the tiny portion doesn't fill you up at all. This is more like a snack than a meal, and I'm not going back. Staff are nice though.

Fish and Chips
We tried TY Fish & Chips tonight as we are a big fan of Chopfuku and it is owned by the same people. It was okay! The service was great, the inside was very clean. The food was very average in my opinion. I was disappointed that the fries were not hand made considering how very small the menu is and that it is very expensive. The fish was fresh tasting and flakey with a lighter breading, but needed salt. The entire menu is fried and it is an extremely small menu. I think I was expecting more or something more unique? This is definitely unique to Utah, but I think I also expected more knowing how creative Chopfuku is. Worth a try if you like fish and chips!

Fish and Chips
This was by far the best fish and chips I’ve had in a looooooong time. The batter was perfectly crisp and the fish was juicy AF! I definitely recommend the tartar sauce, you can tell he made it himself. Don’t miss out y’all.
Also I would get the 3 piece next time because after trying 2, I wanted more.

Shrimp Box
Not a ton of competition in the area so maybe decent is good enough.
I ordered both the fish and the shrimp and would recommend the shrimp over the fish, but I think there might be a problem with using the same batter for both. The shrimp were large and tasty, but a little overcooked. The nice shrimpy snap turning a bit mealy in the mouth as I chewed it. The fish had the opposite problem where the batter was soft and a bit soggy. To be clear, it was not oil soaked, just damp. The fish was cooked nicely but the batter never got to a crispy stage. The other issue for me was the choice of fish. I prefer a flaky white fish. But whatever they use here is not. It has a nice gentle flavor that works well in a simple battered fish setting, but it's a soft stringy fish, which is not my favorite texture. I don't like taking pictures of bitten food, but there are some good examples in the photos.
As for fries, I recommend the miso and ketchup over the truffle paremesian sauce. The paremesian sauce had a thick texture that wasn't my preference while the miso and ketchup was sweet and a bit tangy which worked for me as a nice compliment to light flavored white fish or shrimp.
Note that it's a bit hidden on the menu, but you can get the fries as just plain with salt. Still costs +2 dollars but if you prefer it simple, it's available. And even though there was no bottle of ketchup in the room they must have some in the back if you want it, and they were super friendly so I'm sure they would be happy to help you out if you ask for some.

We were looking for a fish and chips place, and came across @tyfishnchips ! The fried batter in these were really top notch and and crunchy. We ordered both fish (which was soft and flaky with no fish smell at all) and the calamari (which were really hearty, and a good thickness!). We go the Ty tartar signature, mango curry, and miso garlic sauces to try. My favorite was surprisingly the mango curry!
The fries are a la carte and can range between an additional $2-$3. There were a variety of sauces to choose from for the fries and we tried the Jala cream sauce one, and truffle parmesan cheese on the other. Both were delicious!
Great place to check ok if you haven’t already!

This a great little place where the menu is small, but what they do is great. I loved the fish and chips that I got. I couldn’t stop until the plate ran out.
It’s good to see hardworking people starting up a business and caring. I wish them the best success.
