10/10 in every way. Delicious coffee and slice. And the pies smelled delicious and the fresh loaves of bread looked lovely. Great service and lovely picnic tables to sit at. Just off of the main road. Worth a stop for sure.

Holy-heck-a-roony!!! Get your tastebuds here.
This was hands down the BEST coffee, best pie, and best slice I've had in a few weeks. This little trailer is jammed to to ceiling with the best food in Murchison, and possibly the region. It is phenomenal.
The chocolate ginger slice is perfect, not too much of either, just balanced and lush. The pies are a sour cream pastry, and beautiful. I had classic steak and cheese, and while it was excellent, I envied my son's bean chilli pie after a taste. Oh and all the pies we got were rammed with filling. My steak pie had nice chunks of steak, beautiful cheese, and minimal gravy because it was so well packed.
And the coffee was just.... Heaven in a cup.
Check if Tutaki is open of you are passing (only open 4 days a week). It is so worth it.

One of the pie shop in the south island if not the best. When ever we make the trip to christchurch or the west coast we make sure to stop by for these amazing pies, but they don't just have amazing pies they also have great coffee's. Will always make the effort to stop past this place :)

Stopped here for lunch on the way to the West Coast. Best pies we have had in New Zealand so far - or possibly ever! Lamb with pumpkin and feta was absolutely delicious. Coffee & pastries afterwards were also excellent. Very friendly owner as well! Highly recommend stopping here!

Delight. Made a trip to Murchison for a small part from a trailer company. . Enjoyed lunch so much we made a return. Good as ever. Varity and great atmosphere as surrounded by local Sunday Market. . Well worth a stop over. Off the main road so.parking easy and every park is a short walk as town is very small.

Great little cafe cart beside the Murchison museum. Good coffee and great home made pies with a selection of sweet treats too. Only open 4 days a week so pick your day carefully. It's closed Tuesday Wednesday and Saturday all year round.
One of the best pie I ate in New Zealand! You must give it a try! After experience so many mediocre meals in the north part of Southland, I was so touched to taste the delicious pie! The boss was very friendly. Highly recommend the beef pie, and the caramel sweet pie.
My mom and I’s visit to Tutaki Bakery was nothing short of perfect. We were able to get the last vegetarian pie left, filled with potato, leek, and cheese. The pastry was beautifully rich and flaky while the creamy, fantastically flavored filling was a gorgeous complement. We sat outside in the sun, savoring every bite. Before we left, we ordered an oat milk flat white. As a barista myself, I can say this was a beautiful cup of coffee. The owner, with whom we had a lovely chat with, was so kind, thoughtful, and inquisitive. If you find yourself in Murchison, you must stop at Tutaki!
Definitely worth a stop every time you pass thru Murchison, even if only once! Had the Creamy Chicken Pie and Blueberry & Apple Crumble Muffin. 😋 Great service & Food!
