For those of you who don't know-- this is a chain. In fact, Torchy's is a very large chain from Texas who is only recently expanding into FL. We have visited many Torchy's locations in TX and this one is just as good and has the same prices.

Disappointing experience 👎🏽
I had dined at the Torchy's in Austin, Texas a while ago I remember the food as being tasty and filling. However, when I tried the new Altamonte Springs location, I found the food was substandard and overpriced. During the first visit I tried a Democrat Taco (which wasn't bad) with chips and guac. The best part of this meal were the chips, which were thin and crispy.
Unfortunately, the Guac was too liquidy and did not have enough jalapeno nor lime in it. The taco was tiny; barely 2 bites for me. For the second visit I tried the Grande Burrito w/chicken fajitas as the included protein. Again, for around 13 bucks it was very insubstantial. There was barely any chicken in there.... Mainly rice, with a few beans and a few small pieces of chicken. The flavoring was extremely mild as well; not what you'd expect from a Tex-Mex joint. Overall for me it was not worth the time nor the money. I will not be returning....
Love a good Taco, and decided to give them a try. The taco was a bit underwhelming, but the queso was awesome!
I found the taco quite small and more like a burrito than a taco. The salsa and dressing came in SMALL cups on the side, which I appreciated, so it didn't get soggy, but way too small!
As a promotion, I got the 1/2 queso and chips for free. I was surprised at the full cup of queso and an entire bag of chips. The queso was quite spicy. However, you can omit the Diablo sauce in it.
As for the atmosphere, it looked fun. Although not my go-to place for tacos, I'll try again and eat there.

Fell in love with Torchy’s in Texas and the new Altamonte location doesn’t disappoint. The GM always comes to our table to make sure we are enjoying our meal. The wait staff is always willing to get us whatever we need as well. For those discussing *price* of the tacos being too much, imo you get what you pay for. They all have interesting combinations with ingredients and sauces you can’t get elsewhere. The high cost is based on quality.

Tacos should not cost $5+ each, I don't care how fancy they are. We did not eat there, but left after seeing the menu.
