It's time to try nicely cooked potato salads, bean salads and double cheeseburgers. People may eat good apple turnover, flija and apple pie at this bbq. In accordance with the guests' opinions, waiters offer good tea. Tops Bar-B-Q is well known for its great service and friendly staff, that is always ready to help you. From the visitors' viewpoint, the real drawback is fair prices. The cool atmosphere might make you want to stay here for a bit more than you've initially planned. But google users haven't given this place a high rating.

Nastiest BBQ We've ever tried to eat 🤨😠 Ordered 3 jumbo bbq sandwiches, a fry & coleslaw. They offered to take the smallest one back & remake. I had to order another one because it was still to small. I eat the 8-9 fries while I was waiting 😠☹️ This is what I got ! There is a big difference in size .We went back to our Hotel room to eat & this is what we got . The meat was old ,hard & dry & no flavor at all . We thought we were getting BBQ ! What we got was dry, hard & old meat . This food is expensive ! How can they sell this stuff & keep a good conscious !! 🤢🤢😤😤We will never go back here again. Wish I had read the reviews before I wasted $24. I don't know how they call this smoked or bbq????? Just because you throw bbq sauce on it doesn't make it bbq. The meat was barely warm. No smoke taste at all. The minute I opened my box I got that gut feeling it was going to be bad. The potato salad tasted like reesers. Baked beans seemed like jazzed up van camp beans. I've had better bbq from a truck stop. Very dissatisfied and will definitely not be back. Despite the negative reviews, I went in with an open mind. The young lady at the counter was friendly and attentive. The lady with the purple hair that people talk about in the reviews was in the kitchen so I didn’t get to interact with her. I ordered the sampler plate [ribs, pork, brisket] with potato salad and beans for the two sides. The Good: To my surprise, the beans were tasty. The ribs had the most flavor of the three meats. The potato salad was ok. The Bad: Other than the ribs, the meat was bland without much flavor. The brisket was slightly peppered but had no smoky flavor at all. The pork was worse with no seasoning and no bbq smoky flavor. The potato salad was ok but about a third of it was frozen so I stopped eating it and threw the frozen chunk away (see photo). The brisket was rubbery and chewy. None of the meat was hot when it was served to me. It was room temp or just slightly above that. I asked for sweet bbq sauce and that was on my receipt but I got hot bbq sauce instead. The coleslaw was not good at all. I didn’t order that but they gave it to me so I tasted it. Bottom Line: I don’t think I’d return here again. There’s a sign up in the front that calls this “Memphis BBQ.” I assume that better bbq is available in the area but this doesn’t live up to the hype at all. This may be the worst bbq I’ve ever had. This seems like a parody of a bbq place. So little concern is shown to the taste and quality of the food that I found myself hoping that at least they prepared and handled the food safely. I got a jumbo brisket sandwich with 2 Mac and cheeses on the side. My mother got this burger with mustard and pickles only, the 2 sides were Mac and cheese and fries. No fries and they sent an extra brisket sandwich. The brisket was dry and bland. The Mac and cheese was ok. I tore a piece off the patty and it was 🤮🤮🤮. Why would y’all serve a burnt patty? Well, I read the reviews must be from the locals. Food is tasty but the atmosphere wasn't to my taste. But as far as me returning or recommending it's a NO. MAINLY THE ATTITUDE OF PURPLE HAIR IS THE REASON .The cashier (with purple hair) is distasteful, unknowable of menu items and act as if the questions was bothering her. She even went on to take the order of next customer before finishing mine. When a customer is asking about ingredients of food act like you care. Another worker, which seems to be on break, assisted better, it was only because of her inviting spirit that I continued my purchase here. And then the portion size for the sides is not worth the price. I spent $28 and barely got 4 bites each of the sides, the not made in restaurant ;taste like Kroger sides from deli foods. First time here will be my last. I had the plate my husband the bbq Mac and cheese. He liked his okay but mine was almost all fat bbq swimming in grease. Meat flavor wasn’t even good. I barely was able to eat any of it. Absolutely disgusting. Mac n cheese was okay but nothing special and fries were very brown and no salt or seasoning. I would have been better off with food from inside the truck stop ( next to the pilot where we stopped as my husband is a truck driver) we don’t usually eat out but truck problem dictated we had to. I will starve in the future if this is my only option. The new fire braised chicken is exactly that...Fire! TOPS is more than a restaurant - it is a Memphis experience. Highly recommend & if you get the chance go to the original location. You'll be amazed at who's passed through those doors. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

This is the saddest brisket I’ve ever seen. No color, smoke, bark or flavor. The only thing going for it, it’s not tough. It was also dry. I didn’t get a picture of my husband’s pork ribs and pulled pork but it wasn’t any better. Service Take out

Placed my order via Doordash takeout. Food was hot and prepared the way I ordered. Exceptionally delicious, hot and not lukewarm. I read the previous reviews after I placed my order but to my surprise it was perfect. I ordered the Cheese Fries. The cook who prepared my food on 3/15/23 at 12:41pm/received at 1:02pm deserves a raise. We need this person working every day at lunchtime. The cashier at the drive through window was great as well, ensuring my order was correct before she handed it to me.

First they were very low stocked. They had no brisket or kool-aid which is what we came for so we tried something else. The pulled pork had a lot of fat but wasn't a disaster. The beans and potato salad were ok. The service was ok. The cleanliness of the restaurant was DISGUSTING. Every table was dirty and there were dead bugs on EVERY windowsill and some on the tables. Made me not want to finish the food because it made me wonder what the kitchen looked like where the food was cooked. Won't be back Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20
