They were literally flipping around the closed sign as we walked up and stayed open (on a holiday) and made us some of the best food I have had. The owner is amazing and loves dogs. Great food, great price, great people Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Very good service and the chicken/fish was cooked as well as seasoned to perfection. I really wanted to try the fried ribs however it’s not always on the menu. Chicken stew was warm (not hot) , watered down with so many dry parsley flakes mixed in just a huge disappointment. I was told I had to wait 35-40 minutes for the lunch special after I paid. The Mac n cheese had no flavor but cheesy. The corn seemed over cooked and old a very dark color. The roll smelled like wine . I don’t mind waiting to get a good meal but I waited only to give the food to my dogs. I don’t believe in throwing food away. Customer service was ok I guess the level of professionalism that I am accustomed to is not what I received. It’s almost like going by your auntie who sell plates not rude but not professional. Yesterday was my first trying their special.. The Mac n cheese spaghetti was spoiled and the dirty rice had no taste … I had diarrhea and cramps for an hour last night… the fish was fried real good, but the food wasn’t worth $20.. Great place to eat, great customer service, nice atmosphere, very clean, nice music, but overall, DELICIOUS food. The owner is there to greet you with a smile. 😊 I will be back for more AWESOME lunch specials. 😋

1st.... there were NO prices displayed. 2nd... they didn't know their prices when i asked. Lady had to go in kitchen & ask prices. Even the lady in kitchen didn't know the price & threw out a price! 3rd.... it took an hour to get my food. 4th....the lady up front had to keep telling everyone who walked in that they were out of part of the special of the day. Im so perturbed. The food was not good $25.00 down the drain. It all went in the garbage. We won't be back to say the least.

Dynomite smothered cabbage, bbq'd chicken, jams, cornbread, rice. Tasted exactly how my Mom cooked. Brought back fond memories. If you are visiting LaPlace, make it your lunch destination. I truly believe you will leave smacking your lips.
