Their chicken cutlet with egg was OUT OF THE WORRRLDDDD so flavorful and well balanced. I’ve had a lot of similar dishes but all taste overly sweet. This place serves the best chicken cutlet with egg ever! Even better than the ones I’ve had in Japan. Not to mention the service was so good too! I wanted to try every menu item, so I visited twice a week. I tried all the pork dishes, and they were all delicious. However, the most expensive item, the black pork cutlet, was disappointing. Surprisingly, the cheapest item, number 2, was the most delicious to my taste. The black pork cutlet was dry, and there was a slightly burnt taste in the batter. If I visit again, I will probably order either the number 1 or number 2 menu. The menu is very difficult to read. There is a lot of Japanese, and the English menu part is obscured by a flashy background, making it very hard to read. Items like ice cream or milk tea cannot be found in the menu, and you have to discover them on posters on the wall to order. However, overall, the food is delicious, so I will definitely visit again. Indulging in the culinary masterpiece that is Katsuya Ton Ton was nothing short of an exquisite journey into the heart of authentic Japanese Katsuya craftsmanship. This establishment, a true ode to the art of gastronomy, has successfully elevated the experience of savoring breaded, deep-fried pork cutlets and seafood to unparalleled excellence. At the heart of Katsuya Ton Ton's success lies an unwavering commitment to authenticity and an uncompromising dedication to quality. Rice Bran oil, renowned for its ability to withstand high temperatures up to 490 degrees, sets the stage for a culinary experience that transcends the ordinary. In a world where compromise often finds its way into kitchens, Katsuya Ton Ton stands resolute, refusing to dilute the essence of its offerings. The sourcing of pork and meats from Suntterra, a distinguished farm known for its commitment to ethical and sustainable practices, further attests to the restaurant's pursuit of excellence. Each bite tells a story of quality ingredients thoughtfully chosen to create a symphony of flavors that pays homage to the rich Japanese culinary heritage. The crown jewel of Katsuya Ton Ton lies in its original sauces, a harmonious blend of fruits and various vegetables that dance on the palate, creating an orchestra of taste sensations. These meticulously crafted sauces add complexity to each dish, elevating them beyond mere culinary creations to actual works of art. I had a fantastic dining experience: I tried the Pork Loin Katsu Touban-ni Set, which weighed 4.5 oz. The dish was definitely scrumptious in its own realm, with the perfect balance of flavors. However, as I looked around the restaurant, I couldn't help but notice the katsu sets being served to other customers. They were absolute works of art, with a perfect golden crust on the outside and juicy, tender meat on the inside. I couldn't help but feel I made a terrible mistake by not ordering one of those dishes. I was particularly drawn to the umami flavor I could see in every bite. Despite my regret, I'm not too worried as I plan on returning to try those dishes and savor their deliciousness. The authenticity of Katsuya Ton Ton is further underscored by the use of "panko" breaded crust from Kyoei Foods in Japan, a company specializing in panko artistry. This commitment to importing the essence of Japanese culinary tradition showcases a dedication to providing patrons with the most authentic Japanese Katsuya experience outside Japan. In the refined ambiance of Katsuya Ton Ton, every detail is a testament to the mastery of their craft. From the carefully sourced ingredients to the commitment to authenticity, this establishment has carved a niche for itself as the epitome of Japanese culinary excellence. As a connoisseur of fine dining, I am pleased to have indulged in the offerings of Katsuya Ton Ton, an establishment that not only meets but exceeds the highest standards of authenticity and sophistication. This is a culinary experience that transcends the ordinary, leaving a lasting impression of the true artistry that is Japanese Katsuya. Please definitely plan for this restaurant if you’d love to try authentic Japanese pork katsu. 100% upvote for the thick cut pork katsu. I even ordered two since it’s so good. The other dishes were also worth trying but I strongly recommend to stick on the pork katsu first. The only thing to worry about is getting to be seated. They do have openings for lunch and dinner but arriving at the time of opening is not guaranteed to be seated on the first wave, and might take an extra hour to dine. The restaurant is small with around 10 tables. In fact it’s on our third visit that we got the food. But never hesitate, it’s absolutely worth to come. Went there before the lunch rush and there was no wait. Katsudon is my favorite and had the set including miso soup, rice and greens. Also got the salmon Toro which is so good. Cute small place with limited seating. Usually a lot of people dining lunch and dinner so there will be a wait but it is worth it Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Update: visited Japan. This was BETTER than some of the katsu there, too. Check this place out!!! As my friend puts it: it's the Best in the West! I'm a little less well traveled than he is, but this is definitely the best katsu I've ever had. Firstly, the decor and atmosphere are very authentically Japanese. You'll be greeted with an "irasshaimase" (and also a "hello!"). But the restaurant is very serious about the aesthetic aspects of dining, and all of the serveware and decor is simple but delightful. Now, the food. It's katsu. Not too complicated. The crust is incredible, though. Very delicate crumb. Perfectly tender meat - enough bite without ever being tough or chewy. I recommend you try the jidori chicken (not something you can find in many restaurants!). Exceptional quality and preparation. One thing to keep in mind is that it's a somewhat popular restaurant and there is very limited indoors waiting space (maybe room for four people). You may end up waiting outside. I went right at opening time and was able to get the last available table. Go check it out!! It's so good!!! The worst customer service in Las Vegas! My first time here and it’s also my last time, we will NEVER be back! We checked in very early when they just opening at 11am, we are the 3rd or 4th table, we ordered appetizers and main entrees thick cut pork and veggies tonkatsu, appetizers presented on the table very fast, but Toufu is ice cold, Salmon also cold, not good for empty stomach, we wanna wait for our entree sets so we can get warm rice, unfortunately, 20 mins passed, we have to order a separate rice to eat the cold appetizers, and no waitresses come to us even explain why the entree so slow. We finished all the appetizers, and two pot of hot tea, until the room was fully seated and all the other tables got their entrees, 50 mins passed! The waitress came over once and told me entrees will be ready very soon, finally I got mad at this, ALMOST ONE HOUR! We got our entrees, but I didn’t have any pleasant for eating! Most of my food was leftover. If you guys can’t hold 8 tables at the same time, you should reduce your seats, don not let customers waiting one hour to eat, please do Not fry all the orders together to save your cost, because we ordered earlier than others, that’s totally unacceptable, our time is also time! This was such a cool little spot off the strip. My friend and I were the very last customers for the night. Food was fantastic! Bottomless rice, salad, and miso soup. Highly recommend. FANTASTIC Tonkatsu, and likely one of the best you’ll find in the US. The only comparable Tonkatsu I’ve had in the states was in Hawaii. Coincidentally, while we were eating, we learned the owner of Ton Ton had also opened up Tonkatsu Ginza Bairin. We felt this place was just as great (and maybe even a little better, as well as cheaper!!). It’s a bit further away from places off-strip, but it was well worth the wait and drive to get here.
