Excellent service from arrival, was pleasantly pleased with the setting, open area but very cozy and enough space around you for easy movement.
The waiters were super 👌 gave us a run down of the firm favorites from other patrons.
The food was amazing. We enjoyed the freshness of the seafood, and the sides were perfectly done.
Prawns were succulent and well seasoned. The kingklip was fresh and juicy with fresh veggies and rice.
The in-house sauces were soooo good ,the lime butter (stand corrected, but i remember the word lime 🙈) was my favorite.
There is an open park like setting right next to the venue to keep the kids entertained while you relax eating or having a glass of wine.
Will definitely be back to try other options
Rate this a firm favorite to go back to.

Second time here. We love this place. The food is great. Its breezy and comfortable. Today we were served by Angelo and he was amazing. Attentive, whitty and really top notch (pay him more).
I also love that not once do you smell a cigarette. Rare in SA so this is a gem for people who don't want a side of smoke with their main course.
They have an extensive and good regular menu and then also an SQ style choose your own fish, prawns and meat platter.
Absolutely the best place for quality fish and seafood on the North Coast. We will be back...often!

Decided to try Tightline as it was really busy and I wanted to see what all the hype was about. From the service, to the food to the atmosphere, everything far exceeded my expectations. Patrons have a choice of the regular menu items or one could select an array of fresh seafood served on a platter, or steak cut to and served to your preference.
I had the sushi which was delicious and presented well but the highlight was the seafood platter. Each element - the buttery fish, plump prawns and delicious crayfish - was cooked to perfection. Tightline's strength is not only in the freshness of their ingredients, but also their exceptional service. 4/5 because I wish there was more inside seating.

Just like majority of the patrons I would choose to find a rental home in close proximity of this restaurant in order to eat there more than two days in a row particularly because I find it to be one of the best restaurants in Kwa-Zulu Natal. The atmosphere is stylish and vibrant, the decor is elegant and gives you a feeling of being under the ocean. These are possibly my favourite team of staff because they’re attentive and most of the staff come from a fine dining background so you experience the best of the best. The overall concept is fresh ocean/farm-to-table style dining with a recommended beginning at the bar where you’ll find yourself seated across from experienced mixologists or you can grab your meal to go from the deli with suggestions from the best butchers and fish mongers and cook it at home. Tyler, the owner, has created a one of a kind restaurant. Conceptually referenced to the famous Codfather in Camps Bay, Capetown, Tyler has perfectly refined ‘surf & turf’ to offer patrons a tailored experience where you can choose off of a thoughtfully crafted A’la Carte menu which includes sushi as well as an option to select your own choice of seafood and/or meat. Your selection is cooked to your liking and it comes highly recommended to order the secret sauce: chilli lime. With a standing ovation I am well-assured this restaurant will be around for many years to come.

You should most definitely believe the hype Tightline.
The sushi was insane. The sushi was fresh, tasty. No wonder it disappeared from my plate in the blink of an eye.
Loved my mocktail.
The staff were very friendly and were efficient.
It's definitely worth the money and I will be back again!
I would recommend booking in advance as the place fills up very quickly.

The Best Musclecracker ever! The waiter recommended the chilli Butter over the fish and it took the dish to another level. Definitely our new favorite Pescatarian restaurant. I can't wait to try out other menu items.
The downside is that we had to sit outside in the passage, we didn't expect them to be fully booked on a week night however the waiter brought me a light fleece blanket and the manager came over to have a chat and apologized, he then took our number down to add to the whatsapp group and advised us to book even if it might seem like a quiet time.
I can understand why they're so busy, food and service was excellent.
When ordering from the fresh catch, you don't exactly know the cost until you get the bill.. For both our mains, a slice of muscle cracker and rice/chips.. Was around R350, with beverages and the tip it took us to R500.
The food was worth every cent,
just accommodate for the bill if you're going there with a budget.

Food was lovely. Everything was beautifully prepared. Wait staff were a little slow and the place was incredibly loud. Felt a bit robbed that a tiny non alcoholic drink cost R115.

Fair dining experience here. Unfortunately I was there on an evening that was raining and windy. As there’s only outside seating here it was quite uncomfortable. On to the food, the beetroot cured salmon gravlax was the best dish I had on the day. The rest was just ok, to me not seasoned well enough, and that includes the seafood platter that was shared. The food wasn’t bad, but just not good enough for the money spent here. Service was quite good.
