Soup dumplings (pork) for $100 were amazing. So delicious. Pork sausage for $60 was good. Chicken dry fried noodles ($120) were good once some chilli sauce was added.
Go for the dumplings. Amazing.

The food is good, typical Taiwanese taste. We ordered a few variety plates. The price is a bit high but not surprised as it is a tourist spot.

Our tour group brought us here for lunch. I had the pork lunch set which comes with bamboo rice, some sausages, fatty pork pieces, some greens and yam. It also came with a communal soup. I really liked the fatty pork pieces.

To owners:
Don’t you guys think that there should be some improvements on your side.
I believe your restaurant could be one of the most noticeable restaurants in Taiwan due to the fame of Taroko national park but it seems you guys are trying to miss the chance.
Even though the rate on Google is becoming worse, you guys are not accepting the feedbacks and remaining the same - this implies something.
To visitors:
So poor food. Highly pricing. No worth it trying this unless you don’t have any other choices.
Monopoly is the power of this restaurant here.

Convenient place for a quick sit down meal while visiting Taroko National Park.
Recommend trying the 竹筒飯 / 紫米竹筒飯 (rice / purple rice cooked in bamboo section) and the 醬爆山豬肉 (mountain pork). They also offer set meals with X dishes and a soup (most likely daylily soup) as a way to efficiently feed a group of people.
Overall service was quick and efficient. The food was decent and heavy on the veggies. Be prepared for tourist pricing.

Very unhygienic restaurant. Cockroaches in the restaurant, even our food have bugs and cockroaches inside. Worst meal we had in Taiwan.

It's a tourist rest stop, so don't expect much. The "four" restaurants are one and the same 🙃. FYI, there's a 7-11 just opposite.

- cooked food was placed out in the open and then microwaved when ordered
- taste wise, just average fare, nothing to shout about
- had the pork "soup" dumplings with no soup at all within, average tasting filling and thick skin
- vegetables were okay, with the best thing to say being the freshness and crunchiness of the vegetables, which are givens in a restaurant serving food
mainly, when i requested for a bento, the lady with bangs and who seemed to run the show could not understand my order and made me order 3 seperate dishes with rice. subsequently after my order, a few parties ordered the exact order i had requested, which was the bento and NOT 3 seperate dishes. i spoke in clear mandarin and she still adamantly made me order 3 dishes and not the bento set, which i forgot to mention, was expensive too. (NTD $195)
ate here in a rush with my family, and though i would visit hualien again, id rather go for any convenience store over this, where its affordable and equally as fresh and tasty.
