One of our best experiences in Dalat, away from the standard tourist hotspots we found this lovely place. We had tasty flower tea with nice vegetarian kitchen combined with a great view.

Hidden behind green vine bushes, Thong Dong is a small dark wooden house with a small vegetable yard in front, a huge side-balcony under a large tree shade, overlooking a nice valley view. Guests can choose to sit in door or outdoor with different experience. We chose to sit inside as it’s a bit raining. The living room is so zen with many quotes from Monk Thich Nhat Hanh and subtle rustic decor. The bar is open and also the place people come to make order. Foods are so so delicious though everything were made of vegetables. You would expect a Hochiminh city pricing here though but that’s very acceptable given the quality of foods and service received. The veg dishes are fresh, creative and clean. We were very happy with the quality and came to the kitchen to thank the chef. Highly recommended! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Really nice place to spend the afternoon, having vegan food like hotpot with vegetables and mushrooms. There are also tempura mushrooms and some nibbles to go with coffee and tea while we gather. But getting back to city from here could be problematic so ask the staff to order a taxi as our grab app couldn’t get any car.
