Unfamiliar with it's notoriety, history, or the connection to the wealthy rancher families. My experience was a blank canvas. The food was average and the decor outdated. The service was like we had a waiter in training. Friendly, but NOT high end. I felt terrible that my date paid such a price for the food and service. This is a very nice fine dining experience in Stillwater at Oklahoma State University. They have a neat history with well to do alumni donating money to help renovate and upgrade the old club that was more like Chili's than Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. Each Donor also sports their favorite wine stocked by the Club. I normally get the Strip Steak for consistency, and I was pleasantly rewarded with this choice. Expect to pay for this meal, but the price is reasonable for what you are receiving. The Ranch Club is not quite at the level of Nick and Sam's or Gallagher's but they try hard and do very well with the food and the service. I highly recommend giving them a try.
