Good homestyle cooking. Said they only did the buffet on Sunday which was fine with me. Staff is really nice and friendly, I forgot how it was to be treated with decency and politeness at a restaurant. Definitely not like that anymore back home around Raleigh. The banana pudding was some of the best I've had in a while. Definitely homemade.

Just North of South of the Border
Filled up on food and felt full to Northern VA. Was easy to skip dinner.
They had different preparations of meat, pork and chicken, marshmallow covered yams, collards, mashed potatoes, chitlins, salad. Great variety.
Great and humble little buffet with VERY outgoing, friendly, family-run operation. They put their heart into their establishment, brought out more corn bread (deep fried) and mac and cheese when the trays were emptied.
Before going they insisted on us trying the Million Dollar Pie and brought little ice cream containers for the kids.
Stopped in to get some quick eats on a Sunday - be sure to get there early as they close at 3! It was a bit warm in there from the chafing dishes and the AC in the dining area just barely kept up.
Say a prayer for Ray who was out front and was in need of some prayer.
Nice quiet place. Great fried fish! Hushpuppies were outstanding.
Everyone seems like nice people! Prices were excellent and portions were huge!

Great spot for a little pit stop! The food and service were great! My husband ordered a hamburger/hotdog special with fries and I had loaded hamburger fries! We both had unsweetened ice tea. So glad we stopped here. Super friendly staff and delicious made to order lunch!
