Great BBQ. We had the platter with chicken, brisket, ribs and wings. Side of fries dusted in the house rub. The star was the ribs literally fall off the bone and smoked perfectly. Everything was smoked smoked and cooked well without being dried out. Wings were smoked then fried so they were tender and juicy with crisp skin. Good portions. Sauces are homemade and all excellent - queen sauce was great for dipping fries in. Fries were fantastic highly recommended. Baked beans for a side had chunks of brisket and tasted as close to southern style BBQ baked beans as you can great. Owner was very friendly and helpful. Cornbread was delicious almost like a cake it was sweet and moist. We took extra ribs to go that’s how good they were. When you drive by you may second guess yourself don’t let the outside fool you there is BBQ gold inside. They do take out too! First timer for an early lunch. Tried the Pulled Pork sandwhich with a side of the baked beans. Solid four star pork. Lots of pork between the bun. House sauce was tasty. A friend told me the baked beans were the best he'd ever tasted. I didn't care for them and didn't finish the side dish. Still, I can see how others would love them. The following week I came back for lunch to try the Brisket with a side of the baked Mac & Cheese. Next time I'll go with the "lean" brisket. The brisket was a solid four stars as was the Mac & Cheese. GREAT sauces with the brisket. More food then an average guy can handle at lunch. My fat co-worker finished my lunch. Weird? Maybe a little but I hated to waste the food. $20 for the lunch sans drink. Worth it for the flavor, quality and portion. Again, the sauces were STELLAR. The place gets a rare five star because it is family owned and operated and they clearly work hard. Give it a try if you dig BBQ.

Sherwin williams schenectady greatly appreciates memphis king bbq for their amazing staff lunch they made for us! We got 2 pounds of brisket & a tray of mac n cheese. The pricing was almost as outta this world as the food. You made the stuff here at sherwin schenectady very happy and very very FULL! for less than 100 bucks we fed 8 people and had leftovers! The Memphis King BBQ is in a somewhat rough neighborhood, but it is an incredible treat. I particularly like that the staff were in no rush with us even though I came in only an hour before closing. They even came out from the kitchen to greet us and give us instructions on how to order. While I do not consider their macaroni salad all that good, the collared greens are incredible. Add me to the list of fans of this BBQ joint! The ribs are amazing. Fall right off the bone. Excellent flavor and texture. The mac and cheese was delicious. We tried the potato salad and it was also good. The pulled pork was extremely easy to eat or put on a roll. The pulled pork did seem fatty compared to others i have tried. They make a ton of different sauces and I intend to try them all. The white BBQ sauce was different and very good on the ribs. The sweet sauce was like eating honey. I read about it a few years ago and have wanted to go and wham! So darn good and tasty! Can’t wait to go back. We spent about 60 dollars and took home all little bit of brisket and five wings. You won’t find anything around like this as it’s one of a kind. Order beforehand and your good. While we were there, from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM, they ran out of brisket, ribs, burnt ends, smoked wings and jalapeño cornbread. While we were there it was customer after customer. This place is as authentic as it gets the food is absolutely incredible. Everything is homemade highly recommend the fried chicken thighs we get them every time. The chicken comes out perfectly crispy and juicy. Kim is super genuine and always lets you know what fresh items the kitchen is cranking out . Last time I stopped in at the end of a Saturday and was fortunate enough to scoop up some jalapeño cornbread and an M&M cookie - WOW those are unreal. This place is an absolute must if you're looking for a hot fresh and filling meal. Try the macaroni and cheese too - they nail it. Also their sauces - try some of them or all of them they are incredibly flavorful. Can't say enough about this place. Always look forward to coming back. First time here with my family. Originally from Brooklyn and let me tell you, THIS IS THE SPOT! The lovely lady behind the counter gave us great recommendations and I'm so pleased we went with all of the suggestions b|c the food was superb! The restaurant is so cute and has a nice family environment, whether for lunch or dinner. My husband and I finally managed to make it to The Memphis King for lunch recently and it was some of the best BBQ we've had in the capital region!! Portions are generous and prices are fair. The meat is flavored to perfection and moist as can be! Their staff is welcoming, friendly and more than willing to make recommendations when asked. We will, without a doubt be returning!!

Consistently amazing. I've been eating here since they opened and I'm yet to have a reason to complain. There hasn't been a single time I've ordered memphis king and been disappointed.
