Once the promenade around the Johnson Square is over, visit Lady & Sons. Visit this restaurant to try nicely cooked potted shrimps, philly cheesesteaks and cheese steaks. Try good peach cobbler, key lime pie and pancakes. Delicious chardonnay, cordial or bourbon are waiting for you at Lady & Sons. Great mint lemonade, ice tea or americano will make your meal better and you'll certainly come back. Your children will be offered a great kids’ menu. The high ratings of this place wouldn't be possible without the competent staff. Nice service is something clients agree upon here. You are to be pleasantly impressed with democratic prices at this spot. The spectacular decor and cozy atmosphere let guests feel relaxed here. This restaurant was given 2 Frommer's stars and marked as highly recommended for the quality, service, amenities, and special features.

The Fried chicken was tasty but the catfish was a bit too salty. Generally their proteins were a bit better than sides. Especially Mac & cheese needs some improvement. We stopped by for lunch and we were able to get a seat immediately. We were taken care of by Melissa, and she was a delight to talk to. She went over the process of having a family style meal and sh insured that we had what we wanted and kept the refills going. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Food was good. You're paying for the name.ive had better baked mac n cheese. I've had better fried okra, and I've had better bbq pulled pork, but it wasn't horrible. Fried chicken was good! The broccoli casserole and the poppy sead salad was great! The Cheddar bay biscuits from red lobster are better, but these are not bad, but a little dry. $26 for 2 meats and 2 sides, $28 for 3 meats and 4 sides, $30 for 4 meats and 4 sides. Served family style. All you can eat, but you can't take anything home. Then you also get a choice of dessert - peach cobbler, banana pudding, or chocolate or vanilla butter cake. There was no wait and the place was not busy. Was able to sit 10 right away, but wouldn't sit any of us until the entire party was there. I will say, the food is REALLY rich. All of us were waiting on line for the restroom after, which is only 2 stalls and tight/small. First time trying this place, and overall, I had a great experience. I entered this one night to have dinner here with my family. The food here was absolutely delicious. The fried chicken was by far the best I've ever had. It was so juicy and flavorful that we had to get multiple refills . The pot roast was a little bit on the salty side for me, but it was still good. The creamed corn was my favorite side as it balanced the taste of the other dishes. The staff here were polite, friendly, and professional. I will most definitely be coming back here again soon. At the risk of saying it is a tourist haven there are some things to like and others not. It is a version of all you can eat so if you want to challenge your waist line this is a good place. The fried chicken and especially the cream corn was delicious. Some of the other items were just way too salty or did not stand out. You do get four sides which is a plus. For nearly two decades we visited Savannah for various conferences, and dined at some awesome restaurants. It was delightful to have had the opportunity to visit the Lady and Sons restaurant again. We started off with the complimentary garlic cheddar cheese biscuit. I’m telling you that they hooked and reeled us in with that delicious cheesy biscuit . We then opted for the “Savannah” which was one of three family style meals, which included a choice of three meats and four sides. Get ready because it’s a literal smorgasbord. We enjoyed Southern Fried Catfish, Pot Roast over buttered rice, and Pulled Pork Barbecue for our meat choices; and Fried Okra, Collard Greens, Macaroni and Cheese, and Candied Yams covered with melted marshmallows, for our sides. We had a choice of three desserts, which were Banana Pudding, Ooey Gooey Butter Cake, and Peach Cobbler. We chose the cobbler. Everything was delicious, but if some of the items would have been brought up to temperature, it would have been even better. Our party of six arrived around 4:30 on a Friday evening. We were sat right away. We ordered The Georgia, which includes 4 mains and 4 sides, plus buttery garlic bread and dessert. We selected the fried chicken, rotisserie chicken, pot roast, and chicken and dumplings. We also had the creamed potatoes, green beans, corn on the cob and Mac and cheese. We loved both the fried and rotisserie chickens. The pot roast is roast and rice. Some of our party felt it was too salty. The chicken and dumplings were mostly dumplings. We enjoyed all of our sides. We had one original ooey gooey cake, 2 chocolate ooey gooey cakes, and two peach cobblers. We all really enjoyed our desserts.
