Amazing! Place, service, food. The guys running the place are awesome and the food is cooked with the hearth! They also offered us an appetiser that was not on the menu. They actually have some dishes with garlic, and we loved them! Visited this restaurant with my wife and friends whilst in Udawalawe as part of a 3 week tour of Sri Lanka. The location is really cool, the owner is so friendly and welcoming. He cooks the food on site himself and is just superb. If you are coming to Sri Lanka and the area of Udawalawe is on your list then you must come here......it's one of those absolute gem places that you hear about from people travelling.....👍🌞 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Wow! I googled the best place to eat in Udawalawa and I wasn’t disappointed! I spent two lovely hours here enjoying the incredible views from their treehouse and chatting to the staff about how they built this place. Great meal and lovely host. Very welcoming and we all loved his home made food. Roti with coconut was great and loved the vegetable noodles. Nice place to just hang out for a drink as well. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Had the nasi goreng and a couple of drinks. Nice place to sit amongst the forest and watch monkeys go by. A bit pricier given the remote location I'd guess, but the food is good. Be careful when navigating here with maps, it is not where maps takes you (at time of writing) but another km up the road on the corner. If you are around you should visit this place. A small but very nice restaurant made of wood. Reggae is king on this place. The food is delicious - try the black curry. Such a great evening here. The owner and his friend were so friendly and fun. Food was delicious as- all cooked fresh by the owner. Amazing attention to detail. The restaurant is right beside the river and is made by hand out of local materials. Amazing craftsmanship by the owner! What a great restaurant. It has a very calm and relaxing atmosphere with gorgeous natural views. The owner of the restaurant is very kind, helpful, and has a really beautiful energy. The food we had was delicious. The deviled garlic dish had easily the best garlic I have ever tasted, unbelievable. I highly recommend The Garlic, the best restaurant I’ve have been to in Sri Lanka. Best Fried Rice I ever had. The Portion was amazing and it was so beautifull Served. This people made us feel so welcome...the price was super fair and they gave us a bottle of water for free as a good by. Great food and a magical place to go for a few drinks and dinner after safari. Atmosphere was perfect and the hosts made us feel extremely welcome.
