First time going and food was really good. Got the white chocolate macadamia pancakes. The ham was a bit thin like deli meat but I liked it and will go back. The place is kinda small so getting a table is iffy.

2023: Updated review to include dining at The French Press
3 stars
Eager to savor the vegan biscuits and gravy once more, I stopped by to dine in this time. The service was friendly, but the prices were notably high. While the biscuits and gravy were enjoyable, the overall experience was overshadowed by noticeable uncleanliness. The sauce holder at our table was stuck to the counter, creating discomfort. Sadly, chipped and dirty-looking coffee mugs further detracted from the potential charm of the place. Despite its regular following, cleanliness issues need addressing for a truly enjoyable dining atmosphere.
2022 Review: Delivery 4 stars
I've been craving biscuits and gravy, but being a vegan, the only way I'm going to eat biscuits and gravy, is to basically make them myself. Neither is an easy task to create. Hence the procrastination and continued craving.
I recently took a trip to Denver to visit my grandma. When we looked at different places to order for delivery, I found The French Press. Once I saw vegan biscuits and gravy on their menu, that sealed the deal.
I ordered: Vegan Biscuits & Gravy, a side of Fruit Salad and a Mocha Latte with Oat Milk.
The vegan biscuits and gravy came with potatoes, collard greens and tomatoes. The collard greens were cooked well and had a hint of heat. The stewed tomatoes were perfect for acidity. The potatoes were okay. I liked the seasoning, but some of them were chewy and overcooked. But. That. Gravy! I could have ate it by the spoonfuls, and maybe I did! It tasted just as I remember gravy tasting. I don't know how they made it, but wow. The biscuits were soft and a great base to soak up the gravy.
Overall this dish was exactly what I was looking for. It had a good balance of flavors, was fun to eat, and it brought me much comfort
I liked that the fruit was cut in small and similar proportions. It also tasted fresh.
They were not stingy on the chocolate sauce for the mocha latte. It almost tasted like a chocolate milk which is good! I was also impressed that it was still hot by the time it got to me.
I'll definitely be back during my next Colorado trip!

This is a real neighborhood gem. I love just stopping by just to get a drink special because the variety that they come up with always allows me to try a new coffee flavor. As for menu items, you cannot go wrong with the Huevos Rancheros at this location, I usually opt for the soft tortilla and they have 3 chilis to choose from including a vegetarian option. I would say if an item sounds too adventurous I would stay away from it unless you know you love it! Nothing here is bad but I'm not a fan of the regular eggs benedict. The staff here is always welcoming. Absolutely love it ❤️

This place is as busy as it gets and for good reasons. Large menu, fast service, and friendly staff. The food is good but not great. Portion size is decent. Most days if you come during peak hours, there may be a wait time. Kid friendly and plenty of parking space.

I was not expecting this place to be THIS GOOD. Came in from an out of town visit and just kind of picked this place. Got a mocha and the “Eggs in a hole on a shingle”. Oh. My god. This was delectable. The gravy was spectacular, great flavor and the Texas toast just melts in your mouth. This was probably the best breakfast I have EVER had and I am 100% serious. I could only take a picture after I was done because I just couldn’t stop eating.

My vegan biscuits were pretty oily... the cafe is a bit grungy... service was slow, even though I was the second customer at 630am. If you like dirty, grungy, vibes, this spot is for you.

Another hidden gem in Aurora, CO. This place must have been a fast food place in a past life. But this place is far from dive food! It’s so tasty and is presented more like a ‘fancy’ place. You walk in and order at the counter then find a table. There is a patio as well. They bring your food to you. And it doesn’t disappoint! Their coffee is good as well.

We have driven past this place for I couldn’t even tell you how many years. No idea why we’ve never stopped in. But we did today and we will be back. The folks were so nice and the good was pretty decent. The biscuits and gravy were literally the best I’ve had since y sister-in-law’s. No joke. Lots of seating even though it’s small. Several patio tables. Accessible. We highly recommend.
After 2 visits, I'd definitely be a returning customer.
Have only tried:
Corn Beef Hash
Biscuits and Gravy
(& my Hubby's go-to)
scrambled eggs, toast and
The menu is varied that we still have a lot more choices to taste.
Price is justified by their portion size.
So far, food we have tasted are 👍.
Coffee is 5-⭐ Service is quick & friendly.
Visits have been after 1:30pm so have not experienced waiting for a table.
Parking is free as location is within/adjacent to a big supermarket chain.
