I arranged a surprise 50th birthday party for my wife with Griffin and Abbe. They helped set up a “private” area in a public space. They instructed us how to throw and took care of us throughout the evening. It was a perfect venue for a party. Those that threw axes loved it and they provided entertainment for the entire group. No pressure from the Axe Bar staff. Affordable drinks, good food, great times. Consider the Axe Bar for your next party! Our company hosted our Holiday party here and it was a hit! The atmosphere was lively, and axe throwing added a unique and exciting element to the evening. The food and drinks were fantastic! Griffin and the rest of The Axe Bar team made sure we had an enjoyable experience. Highly recommended for a fun and different event! We ordered appetizers and enjoyed the pizza's more, staff were friendly and the place has a simple but fun ambiance. All is well until we paid. The axe bar section rents for $37.99/person for 90 minutes of play (a little less charge for 30 or 60 mins) and 2 people of our party of 13 didn't even play (we paid almost $500). It never occured to me that they would charge that much since it's our first time visiting, so I didn't think to ask and nor was I advised on how the axe rental area works during the reservation process. CONCLUSION: it's a fun place to go but be warned about the 90 minute $37.99 per person charge, call and ask questions before going and avoid the Axe section 90 min reservation considering we only played about 60 mins of it. My company hosted our Christmas party here last year and it was so much fun. Plenty of room to chat, good food and obviously throwing axes for those who wanted to. Marcus was fabulous in helping me get everything set up for the day and was wonderful in helping teach a large group how to property throw an axe. In addition to all the lanes for Axe throwing, they also have areas for video games, a large bar, and a huge central space for hosting regular events like dancing, karaoke, and drag shows. I was there for a Friday night drag show, and all the performers were fantastic. I watched Mario twerk, the Black Panther serve, and The Mask bring the house down with his enthusiastic performance that was just as animated as Jim Carrey's original. I didn't try any of the food myself, but the baskets or fried crunchy things were flying out of the kitchen to be swapped for table numbers, and the several pizzas I saw come out were immediately demolished, so I'm pretty sure the food is solid. I love having something to do downtown besides eat, drink, or shop! My friend and I were out to dinner and wanted to do something fun. We popped into the Axe Bar and had a great time! The staff are awesome and welcoming. They had karaoke going on and it was overall such a good way to end our night out. We didn’t get a chance to try the food but I’m sure we’ll be back! I reserved this place the same day we went. We went on Saturday and there was plenty of spot when I booked it. The price is insane. We did 90 minutes each (party of 4) and stayed for drinks and salsa night. The drinks are good. I didn't like how the prices weren't on the menu, but you can ask the bartender for the prices. I tried their fried macncheese, and it was good and very basic. I love their version of margarita (axe-rita?). I was surprised at how big it was. The axe area is very small. It's divided into two lanes per room. The other lane is another group you don't know. So you kinda have to alternate when picking up and throwing the axe. The lane is not very long, and if you are in a big group, you want to step away outside to give more space. There is no room for drinks, but there is on the other side. There is a hook to put ur coats or bags, but it's like one or two, and you have to share it. You can play axe games. They provide a paper and pen for keeping the score and explaining some axe games. They do offer other than an axe for you to throw like ninja star and a very big axe, but it's extra pay. They keep a timer to track your time. It was my first time, so they gave us a quick training - nothing fancy and very straightforward, but that's included in your time. They gave us a lane that was very "busted" looking. The axe wasn't sticking, which was very frustrating. We asked multiple times to move to the other empty lanes but was dismissed. However, 45 minutes into our time, they moved us to a better lane. I'm not sure what changed their minds, but we were in the corner, and no group was using the second lane. The axe gripped better into the wood, and we had a blast.

Ok so this was my first time eating here. We went for the Drag show. We got there early to eat and drink before the show started. When we placed our order it wasn't crowded. We had be there for about 25 mins when someone finally came to over to us and gave us menus. Other tables that came in AFTER Us were giving Menus first. We ordered drinks and our Waiter assure me he could make a Pink Starburst that wasn't too sweet. I'm diabetic and I don't like sugary Sweet drinks. Well he made my $10.00 drink less sweet but filled with seltzer water! It tasted horrible. We tried to get a replacement drink. I would just order some else but I couldn't. I would still be charged $10.00 for the Pink Seltzer Water. We couldn't find our Waiter after that. He never came back to our table. So we talked to a Waitress and ordered the cheese sticks with Ranch and three Kamikaze Shots. We were giving something that didn't taste or look like Kamikazes. It was Red and tasted like Cherry Cough syrup. I decided that was the last drink I was getting there. Now by this time, it's getting crowded lot more people coming in for the show. 5 (or more I had to stop counting cause I was getting upset! ) 5 tables got there food BEFORE us. THREE were tables that wasn't even there, got their food BEFORE us. After constantly asking about our food, given all kinds of excuses.. it finally came! 1 1/2 later!!! For Cheese sticks!!! And it was Burnt!!! And there was NO RANCH! And we were given parmesan cheese packets that was open! Needless to say I will NOT be back...
