Tavern 61 is by far my favorite restaurant In Jersey. Their Food is top notch and they also have a great bar you can sit at. The inside of this restaurant is beautiful. The atmosphere and noise level is just what you want for a lovely dinner. Drinks were great, and our appetizers were delicious. Unfortunately, as great as the apps were, my entree (rigatoni bolognese) was extremely underwhelming. There literally was no salt in my dish. Even after I added a ton of salt, it was still inedible. It’s unfortunate because the place has a lot of potential, but any main dish that lacks that much salt is a warning to how under-seasoned the rest of the main entrees are. Came in on a Friday on a whim when the place we originally went to for our anniversary seemed off. So glad we did. Our server was super attentive and the food was really good. Whoever is seasoning the food…. Keep doing what you do. Drinks were great and we found the layout of the restaurant to be really refreshing. Definitely ordering in the future. I had the pleasure of celebrating my sons baptism celebration at Tavern 61 and it was nothing less than amazing. Staff was extremely accommodating from setting up early to meeting diet restrictions for our guest! The food was absolutely delicious and everyone had an amazing time- we can’t wait to be back.

We stopped in for a late lunch / early dinner and the entire experience was amazing. The restaurant was very nice inside, the seats in the dining area were comfortable and the tables decently spaced out. There is a full bar with several TV's separated by a divider from the dining area. It has a really nice ambience. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive, checking in to make sure we were enjoying our meal and bringing re-fills, etc. The food was absolutely delicious, I ordered the Chicken special from the specials menu, which was a breaded chicken with prosciutto and mozzarella with a garlic white wine sauce. The chicken was crispy and the prosciutto, mozzarella, and sauce were balanced perfectly. My partner ordered the tortellini special, and it was also really delicious. The sauce was really good and after finishing the tortellini the staff asked if we wanted bread for the sauce which was greatly appreciated. I also had a watermelon martini, made with fresh watermelon, which was really good. It was subtle but decently strong and the fresh watermelon was a really nice addition.
