Our table had nice view. Waitress was really nice and friendly. The food was great and with good sized portions. We had the happy family, beef chow fun, and roast duck fried rice. It is such a shame to see such a beautiful and regal restaurant fall victim to the pandemic. This restaurant is certainly unexpectedly phenomenal! The hostess is very polite and timely on seating and taking orders. The food was outstanding! We had the "Sushi Regular" which is certainly enough to share, but I don't like sharing high quality food like this. So we ordered two and at $17.50 each the bill was only $40!!! This has been the most affordable, fresh and highest quality nigiri I've ever had. Absolutely the best in the Poulsbo area, possibly Kitsap county. The portion was large and the ingredients were on point. I cannot convey enough just how fresh it was and how well it was made. We had a wonderful view out on our window booth, however I think that the view inside is more astounding. There were things moved around I'm assuming from the pandemic but if one really looks into the ambiance, it is really captivating. 5 stars around! I just have one complaint. There were not enough people there. This is a restaurant that should be packed. It was rather odd to sit so quietly enjoying such great food. I had a thoroughly enjoyable experience there. I had never been in before and went in yesterday for a late lunch. The service was prompt and helpful. I ordered three things, knowing I would take home leftovers. Everything was delicious. The tempura shrimp appetizer was done perfectly. The moo shu chicken was amazing. The only less than perfect thing was the broth on the wonton soup, as it seemed a little bland; today, however, it is very flavorful. I paid $35 for what is going to turn out to be at least three meals, possibly more. I will definitely go back. I went to Taste Wei after seeing a review that had posted online a few months ago. It was on my list of places to try and, because I was alone, I decided to try it. When I entered the restaurant I was greet quickly and seated immediately. The staff was pleasant and made me feel very comfortable. However, the food was not as good as I expected. The rice in my sushi was a bit hard and the slices of salmon had ice in them. As it was prepared quickly it made me wonder if the rice was old. Although the vegetables rolls were good, I was disappointed by the sushi. In a hurry, I ate what I ordered and left. Perhaps other dishes are better there but I can't say because I didn't try them. I ordered two rolls for take out and they got it ready super quickly. The dragon roll was delicious, one of the best I've had from any local sushi place. The nearby construction has the parking lot barely accessible, and you can tell it's affecting business, I had to look them up online to make sure they were open. They are! And they're great! Friendly staff, quick service, and always improving atmosphere. This quickly became a family favorite and a once-a-month'er. The view of is beautiful from the main seating area. We had the veggie tempura, dry sautéed green beans with pork, orange chicken, and veggie lo mein. EVERYTHING was delicious! The service was great and the restaurant was clean. If you ate here years ago, when they first opened, and had a bad experience (like me), I highly suggest you give it a second chance! I love this restaurant. Every time I come with my girlfriend the atmosphere is quiet and intimate and the views are incredible. I am an out of towner and ordered takeout. Everything was literally so good and they even threw in a complementary seaweed salad! They were super friendly when I went to pick it up.
