We were passing through Ashburton on the way from the airport to Lake Tekapo & saw this cafe was open. As we were in desperate need of coffee we called in. Coffee was served quickly & presented well but was a tad bitter though. All the food we saw looked amazing & the staff were great Service Dine in Meal type Other Price per person $1–10 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Wow is what! Drove into Ashvegas and asked Siri for a good cafe to go to in Ashburton and this was the place she recommended! She gave us directions and here we were! Best food ever and wow I am full! Would definitely give it the 4.5 stars trip advisor was rating it!! Attention coeliacs! I know a lot of the reviews say "lots of GF options" and it all looks great, but there is a tiny sign that says it stands for gluten FRIENDLY, not gluten free. When I asked the woman behind the counter if that meant "gluten in the food, but not much" or "gluten free by ingredient, just beware of cross contamination" she got quite angry that I even asked and didn't answer the question. Stay safe out there. Robert Harris down the road does nice GF stuff and they have more knowledge to answer your questions if you have them :) Service: 1

Ordered the chicken mayo sandwich, came with next to no chicken on it. When I went in and asked if it had chicken on it as it basically looked like just mayo the chef came out and rudely said there was chicken on it & walked off.
