I am burping quaternary (quat) sanitizer or chlorine! I do not even want to know the reason my chicken tastes like this. Worked in restaurants for years I know what I’m talking about. Either they accidentally contaminated my food or are rinsing old chicken to hide decay but either way, I consumed a bunch of chemicals this afternoon eating here. Just praying I don’t get sick- I threw most of it away ($27 wasted!). Looked great but will never in my life eat here or recommend their food to anyone. Got a shrimp tempura roll but who cares my entree had chemicals and that’s all I’m focused on right now. Caution! The food are ok !👌 The service are ok!👌 The only bad thing is inside is extremely small you have to wait to be seated around 30 min but definitely I recommend this restaurant…. Is worth it!!! Food is great as always. Service is excellent as always. It's been like this for at least the last 10 years that we have been coming here. The background music cannot be any more horrible. It ruins everything that this great team is doing. Despite the fact that I mentioned it to my server several times, they finally told me that is how it is and they can't do anything about it!!! Really? Such a simple fix and these great employees are even afraid of asking the boss that the background music is bothering the guests. We'll give it one more shot again soon and if this background music is still playing, you will lose a very good customer! We ordered a couple ramen (tanpopo and miso rich with kaidama). It was super weak. Called for a replacement, got only one dish of noodles and two broths. Again super weak. Almost like they are out of Tare and trying to still serve to unsuspecting guests. Couple that with the chashu being super hard today and this was inedible. Sadly disappointed that I paid for this. It gets worse. I called for a refund, the manager (woman, name unknown) was very rude. She insisted we bring the food back. I offered to take a picture of it in the trash instead. She insisted I had to bring it back. I told her I would be there in 5 minutes with the trash bag. She said it has to be untouched. How do you have untouched food and taste it to know it is horrible? She was very rude. I suggest not going here, which is sad because we have come many times before and loved it. If she would have made it right it would have been a different review. We took them back the trash bag with the ramen in it. Still no refund and the manager refused to come out and talk... We came to try this place after watching the old school movie, Tampopo. Our expectations weren't high so they met it, but unfortunately, they did not exceed it. Their ramen was very mediocre, didn't taste like the broth was cooked the traditional way. It just tasted like seasoned hot water. The noodle was average as well. When we asked for the noodles to be cooked "firm", they seemed very confused which is a sign that it's not that authentic. I have to say that their combo specials are a good deal. You get more than enough food hence the 3 stars. Their service is also good and fast. I personally won't be returning due to the share amount of better quality Japanese food in the area. Brother took my parents and me to a long time favorite of his. Sushi and ramen and other Japanese dishes. The gyoza was excellent. All the other meals/sushi were good, but not great. The service was okay, but seemed kind of disorganized. We waited a long time for check. Parking lot was packed on Friday night.

This is literally the best place to get sushi ever, I have been coming here with my mom for the last 5-6 years. Whenever we feel like getting sushi, we always either come here or order from here. I have probably tried everything on the menu at least once because we always try to order something different each time. The rolls and the ramen are amazing. Hands down one of my favorite places. I love everything I have ever tried here but some of my favorites would be the baked green mussels as an appetizer, the Japanese burrito sushi rolls, and for the ramen I get the spicy seafood ramen with miso broth. Tampopo will always be one of my go to restaurants!

This was my second visit here because food is great but service was terrible I asked the waiter female if I can be seated at a better table because I’m pregnant and the area she sat us in was very compact and not a lot of leg space she said no that it was reserved then 10 mins after a party of 3 gets seated which was a walk in.
