Great fast food at a very decent price. They have all kinds of options for Hispanic style food. Lots of yummy sauces. It's wheelchair friendly and accessible. There are kiosks to order food. Had lunch here, food is always fantastic however upon entering the guy who was making food was on his cell phone while wearing gloves and then proceeded to make everyone's food without replacing them with clean gloves. Cell phones are one of the dirtiest objects we come in contact with everyday so I was really grossed out by that. As a food service employee you should know better, you're touching the food that someone will consume and who knows if you were last on your phone while sitting on the toilet etc. I will try another location in the future because their food is delicious otherwise. This was my first time at Taco Libre and the Eagan crew knocked it out of the park! Got the quesabirria tacos and their flan. The beef was cooked extremely well and the sweetness and portion size of the flan was perfect. They also have a comfortable upbeat atmosphere with super friendly staff! Todays experience was not a good one. We came for lunch. We order several items including some tacos. The tacos were sooo greasy. That we couldn’t even eat them. The taco was literally dripping grease as my daughter try to bite it. The machete we order was supposed to be half and half and it was not. This second part worries me the most. When we order our food we also order a drink and I as always, ask for a cup of water to which the register lady said: we don’t serve water because we do not use filter water. What????!!! How can they be making their salsas and the rest of the food that is made with water and it’s not being cooked before its serve ?!! I've eaten here several times and it's always been great until today. I ordered a carne asada burrita, which cost $17, and there is almost NO MEAT in the entire thing. There are a few super finely chopped pieces of steak but there’s way more onion and cilantro than anything else. I recently ordered from Taco Libre for a Hispanic Heritage Month event at my workplace and was thoroughly impressed. The four family packs of tacos we ordered were perfectly prepared. Each taco was flavorful, with the right ingredients balance, showcasing Mexican cuisine's authenticity. The two gallons of "aguas frescas" were a refreshing touch to the meal. They were well-balanced in sweetness and provided a great complement to the tacos. A special mention goes to Maria, who ensured our order was ready on time and met all our expectations. Hella expensive in my opinion… butttttt…. Tacos and Empanada was very delicious. I feel like I’m paying California prices. Don’t know if I will pay for that price again but I think it’s a definitely great place to check out. $3-$4 per taco seems a little too much considering I usually pay five dollars for five tacos in downtown. Been here soooo many times. Always order three steak tacos. All three tacos didn’t even have as much meat as what one normally should have, and half of the meat I actually got was so chewy it was inedible. My elote cup was clearly microwaved. The guy at the restaurant tried arguing with me. 0/10 experience. I’ll spend less and get what I want at chipotle across the street. I get the quesabirria and man lemme tell you it’s one of my favorites. Plenty of meat and the consume is literally heaven in a bowl. Pricey but so worth it.
