Cosy restaurant, great food, professional service and good atmosphere. A good place to have quiet sit-down dinners and enjoy some nice food if you are staying near St. Paul's Bay. The set menu was very good value - three courses for around €21 - and the portions were very generous. For the starter, the Maltese sausage pasta was very good. It had a rich flavor and was quite filling. (Tip: get the Maltese sausage pasta!) For the main course, unfortunately the "fish steak" was not fresh fish like seabass. It was tuna steak. The portions were good but the tuna had a slight fishy taste, so I would not recommend getting the fish option on the set menu. You also get a dessert. It was so filling that we had our dessert to go. Overall, it was good value and quality. Would definitely recommend this restaurant. We went with so much positivity because of all the positive reviews. We went in and were greeted lovely. We ordered fish soup and calamari for starters and the Rabbit and pork belly for mains. The soup was strange with rice in it still stuck together 2 pieces of fish in it and lots of fish bones. We didn't get the deep-fried squid as we expected, we got stuffed squid, which was lukewarm and odd and was apperantly the special which we got told about at the beginning... but we'd already ate half of it before realising and we didn't want to say anything, as the staff were lovely and we didn't want to make a fuss. The pork belly was a massive piece not very tasty and pink inside, and came with some veg which stunk of gas so we couldn't eat them. The rabbit wasn't anything special, it was a rabbit covered in curry sauce, I think they ruined it. Anyway, we had water and a glass of wine. We paid 60€ and did not eat barely any of it, the staff didn't seem bothered that the plates were still full, just took it away and took the payment. Now we have just got back from the restaurant about 2hrs later and my partner is getting excruciating stomach pains, which she believes is from the squid as she hasn't eaten anything else all day and it definitely wouldn't be the pork belly as the symptoms don't match compared to shellfish, she can't get off the loo and has pretty bad diarrhoea... we certainly wouldn't recommend unfortunately. This restaurant was absolutely exceptional! The food was so delicious that we went back for a second time. The service was incredibly friendly, and the prices were very reasonable, especially considering the generous portion sizes. We highly recommend the Maltese set menu for 21 euros, which allowed us to enjoy a true Maltese meal with dessert. It was truly a special culinary experience that we would recommend to anyone! The place is nicely decorated, the atmosphere very pleasant. When you arrive you can see the catch of the day in a fridge at the entrance, but I didn't get any fish. The man waiter seated us kindly and suggested some specialty. We got served very quickly. The goat cheese starter, and the octopus were really good. The sauce of the pasta was quite salty and you could taste the spices too. At the end the waiter asked us if we wanted a coffee without even forcing a dessert on us. The meal was at a decent price even with the drinks Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Octopus Stew

Visited here on our first evening to experience traditional Maltese food rather than generic pub food and it was most definitely worth the visit. The three course Maltese set menu was very nice and excellent value for money. I would most definitely recommend if you want to experience local cuisine. A very nice traditional Maltese restaurant. They offered a set Maltese menu so I opted for that and tried the rabbit, as well as the pork cheeks. As you can see from the photos, great presentation and taste. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person €20–25 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

The ribs were amazing and the goat cheese was also great. However, the burger was awful. The menu said medium, but the burger was well done. Additionally, there was no sauce, the lettuce was old and therefore the burger was extremely dry and hard to eat. The bread had some burnmarks with a char taste which didn't help. The onions were not fried like the menu said but completely raw and uncut. The potatoes and grilled vegetables were ok, but were lacking major seasoning. The fish soup was okay, but not great. It was also a very small portion even for a starter. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person €15–20 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Spare Ribs
We came several times during our stay in Malta. The food was amazing and delicious every time. Very generous portions as well. Service and timing of dishes was perfect. Extensive wine selection of local Maltese wines. Prices are very fair for the really good quality of the restaurant. By far the best restaurant in Malta.
