This is not a restaurant but a bakery that specializes in pineapple cakes. In my opinion, their pineapple cakes are amongst the best in Taiwan. They let you do tasting at the location. You get a portion of either pineapple cake or one of their other options they decide to showcase on the day of your visit and they will pair it with tea. The decor itself is modern chic with a bit of a zen feel to it. Parking is practically non-existent. You are better off taking the bus here. As far as I know, their original Pineapple Cake is certified Halal. Their pineapple cake are not too sweet. Just nice and suitable for older people. They have variety of selection you can choose. You can see what they have at their main entrance. The time I visited there, I need to queue but not long time. They serve you with tea and pineapple tart as complimentary service

I like to eat pineapple cakes and a friend recommends Sunny Hills. The service was excellent, with the hostess guiding us to our seats after a short wait. They surprised us with a sample cake and tea, although it wasn't clear we were just there for a tasting. After finishing the sample, it felt rushed to either buy merchandise or leave. Despite that, the tea and cake were delightful, and I wished for a more relaxed experience. The pineapple and apple cakes were tasty but on the pricey side. A very hospitable confectionery - everyone is served complimentary tea and cake. It was lovely just to sit and enjoy the sweets before making our purchase. As with many desserts in Taiwan, the pastries were not excessively sweet and we bought quite a number of boxes as souvenirs to give away to friends back home.

There is no free lunch but there is a free snack and tea at Sunny Hills 😁 The tea is aromatic and accompanies the pineapple cake really well. It is not overly hot, it is served at the right temperature. The pineapple cake is the type that highlights the natural sourness of the pineapple so it is not overly sweet. This is the signature of Sunny Hills that makes it different compared to their competitors.

It is a very good place to stop by when visiting Taipei. They let you taste their product first before you decide on what to buy. The tea was perfect, not too strong, and not too bland. Their pineapple cake has a delicious dough, and the pineapple filling is not overly sweet. The place is very clean and well designed. They have an indoor garden. There are other products to choose from, aside from their famous pineapple cakes. They also use cloth bags for the purchased items instead of paper bags, a very nice gift item to give.

It is not much of a cafe rather it’s an outlet for buying Sunny hills goods. The staff is really nice and polite. They answered my queries in a very polite manner. Also Tried their Apple and Pineapple cake, both tastes amazing but i will give a slight edge to apple cake. Their oolong tea is the best one i have ever come across, the taste is just perfect. It is neither too strong nor too mild. It just hits the perfect spot. I am really glad that i got to try their products.

Finally came back for the first time after many years, this time got to try the pineapple salted egg mooncake. Omg, one of the best I've ever had!!! Please come here before mooncake festival to try. Service and ambiance were also excellent as always.
