Had 10 people for wife's birthday. Robert was our server..very good and attentive. Food was perfect. We had everything from seafood to steaks and chicken. All of us were more then pleased especially those that ordered steak. Very good cuts. And desert was just the right size. First off, this restaurant has a strict dress code that they enforce. When I first arrived I saw a couple looking at the menu displayed outside the restaurant, and I thought to myself, "Boy, I am happy my husband and I scheduled a reservation!" HOWEVER, after spending over $121 for our meal (prime rib with salad & baked potato and a steak with salad & baked potato) and only water as our drinks! I think they were the lucky ones when they walked away! The menu is extremely limited. The main entree comes with only soup or a house salad ( with NO cheese! Just croutons, 3 slices of cucumber and 1 cherry tomato-Can you believe that? ) I had the 8oz Beef filet steak and there was nothing to write home about it as it was very flavorless. And by that I mean it was one step up from a Denny's especially for $48.00 and the funny part is there was a Denny's right next door! Haha! I ordered my steak medium rare and it was closer to the rare side which was actually a blessing as it was extremely dry. My husband had the Queen Cut 16 oz Prime Rib, which he also said lacked in the flavor department; another disappointment as it cost $46 with just a soup or salad as well. We both paid $9 extra for a loaded baked potato..(his came with chives-mine did not as I am not a fan of them) now here again, I was extremely sad to see no cheese-just butter, sour cream, and a small amount of bacon bits. Now, should the dinner have been amazing it would have made up for the fact they even forgot to bring us the complimentary bread! After specifically asking - we finally received it ( The picture shows 2 pieces but it came with 4- I had forgot to take a picture first). The staff was kind enough, but not exceptional so even that didn't make up for the costly meal. Also, as we sat there astonished at everything, the price, the quality, and the lack of service the table next to us ended up sending their steak back because he wasn't cooked properly... But that didn't surprise me since I had already received mine. I would not recommend this place; but if you do want some great service and flavorful food, I would suggest the Saltgrass Steakhouse (where we spent $125 the night before (total) which included Prime rib + side for the Hubby, steak + side for me, salad for both (which also had freshly grated cheddar Cheese on top) 2 alcoholic beverages AND 2 rather large desserts that we took home! I thoroughly enjoyed the food at Stockman! The lobster bisque, complete with a dollop of creme fraiche and succulent lobster bits, was particularly exquisite. I opted for the crab cake with grilled shrimp, a decision I was delighted with. My husband, meanwhile, ordered an 8 oz filet with a side of Mac & cheese. While the steak was decent, it lacked the sear that it deserved. The Mac & cheese, on the other hand, was incredibly delicious! Our server, Rob, was exceptional and always had a smile on his face. He provided great service and was there for us whenever we needed anything. The only downside was that our side salads were heavily overdressed. Well the lobster bisque was cold! Ordered the salad with balsamic vinegar and oil gave served it in 2 containers with no space to mix. The steak is so tough, the baked potato is cold won’t even melt the butter. Wow I thought Stockmans steak house was supposed to be great? We ate here, my lobster bisque was cold, the soup had a skin on top, so it had been sitting for a while. My husband's onion soup was also lukewarm with no croutons and the full bay leaf was left in it. A very serious choking hazard. We shared the mushroom caps...also not hot. We did ask for our soups to be heated. The taste was okay, but for the price, not worth it. The service was okay, but none of the staff seemed very happy and unconcerned. Stopped in Laughlin for the night and decided to try Stockman’s. The restaurant is located on the river level at the Edgewater. It is clean, seating capacity for all size parties. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We called before going but didn’t really need to as there was plenty of tables available. The bread they serve is huge and topped with melted butter. My sister and I both ordered ribeyes cooked medium rare and the food came super fast. The steaks were seasoned and cooked to order. There didn’t seem to be any “wow” factor for me at Stockman’s, so it isn’t on a top 10 list of mine. For the money there are better places in close by casino. Had french onion soup and the nachos. A weird combination that worked. Busy so a long wait, but very good. Came for steak but after the nachos went by our table we had to try them. Do not eat here. The prices are excessive, the food terrible, when ordering a $50.00 steak it doesn't even come with a potato. You get a small salad and a tough steak. The staff was great, but that isn't enough to go back. It cost us $131.00 for two steaks, a soda and an ice tea, which would be fine if the meat was delicious and tender, seriously through in fries or a baked potato at those prices. Excellent they did not have the dish I wanted mushroom ravioli but I got sautéed mushrooms and asparagus grilled in a delicious sauce. The bread is warm and melts in your mouth. My wife’s steak was amazing. I don’t eat meat so I can’t confirm. Staff was way cool and got in without a reservation so that is icing on the cake before the cake comes. Love the atmosphere cool vibe. Highly recommend and I will definitely return

About 5 hours after I ate there I became very ill. Vomiting and stomach cramps. It was awful. When I reported it the next day, they acted like they didn't believe me. We had a party of 6.
