I got to know this place last year, and every time visit this place, I come instead of Pelican Brewery, and the price is economical and the food tastes good. I always eat fish&chip here. I've already visited this trip for the 4th time, and some bartenders are a little disappointed, but a pint of Bornyard IPA and a glass of Irish Whisky willforgive everything. I tried the rib eye which was perfectly cooked and came with a delightful green salad and baked potato. The atmosphere was friendly, the service was a little rough but I think they are short staffed which might be why we weren't checked on for drinks. The food was delicious. We were told this place is better than the Pelican Brewery & we decided to give it a try. The bartender took care of us while the waitresses were working the “regulars”. Our order was taken for drinks quickly & were placed in front of us. It wasn’t what was ordered (Crown is not Pendleton) but we let it go. Our food order was taken & delivered pretty fast - again not with what we ordered (beer battered steak fries & add bacon to the burger)... We let the bacon go but we asked to try the beer battered fries & we were given some to try....Overall, the food presentation was fantastic but the flavor wasn’t there. You could tell it’s a place that is frequently visited by the locals - the atmosphere was great. Give it a try....

A lot of small town bar and grill places can make you feel like you are an outsider. This place, although in a tourist town, makes you feel like you are home. Great food and really good prices. Best fish and chips ever! Everything was delicious, my boyfriend and I shared the Captains Plater with onion rings. Their prices are more than reasonable with large portions. Our waitress was polite and even brought us multiple condiments without us having to ask. We will definitely be coming back! Huge burritos! Good food. One burrito can easily be shared by 2 people. Nice atmosphere. There's a good mix of people coming here...young and old, all enjoying life together 🤗

Smells kind.of like a urinal in the whole place, but the staff are awesome! Locals definitely frequent here and we're friendly and having a great time! They used to have Ling cod, but they had Alaska cod this time. Not what I was looking for, but decent. Price per person $20–30 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2 Recommended dishes Clam Chowder

We have eaten here before and thought we’d come again. I got chips and beans, hubby got a pepper jack ranch burger with beer battered fries. My chips were homemade and delicious!! Hubby loved his burger, for it not being a hand pressed burger it was delicious!! Our server was awesome and efficient. Definitely will return!!

The Fresh Dory Cod is outstanding. Look for the semi outside seating area. This is where you you want to be. Considering the quality food and service, the pricing seems fair. Don't miss this place in Pacific City. The Sportsman is where all the locals go and for good reason.
