First, atmosphere. We did not go inside so I gave it a 1 because I had no idea about that The cod dinner was great, 3 pieces under ten bucks. Applesauce and hash browns were had in the side. The person who took the call was great Only problem I had. So if you divide the 8.25 by 3 pieces of just the fish alone..., That equals 2.75 a piece. Then that doesn't factor in potato's or applesauce. Many places will let you ala carte extra pieces of fish. And they do. When I went there last night, I got charged 5.25 for an extra piece. By the math, I was close to having two extra pieces and feel this was unacceptable. The fish was really good and tender. I feel it should not be that high. Ain't nobody breaking their arms throwing in two extra pieces for 5.50 and that's giving it a bit extra.. Been going to urbandale speeds 50 years still have great cheese burgers and fries. But have one tip to pass on the cash register section needs cleaned its coated in grease the ceiling fan looks to b falling down the blades are drooping down full of grease and dust bunnys 100 bucks would clean it up. It's a coffee shop and much more. Speeds is a staple in Urbandale with an extensive menu covering breakfast lunch and dinner. Sketch service. Good food though. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30

They are moving! If you want to walk down memory lane before it closes and gets torn down, I suggest going as soon. Burgers, shakes (cherry is my favorite), onion rings and fries just as good as when I first starting going there as a child. Never disappointed here.
