Newly opened cafe/restaurant near to beach in Batticaloa, very close to Naval Beach Villa. Owner was so helpful and wanted to please. Had very tasty fried rice dishes. Found out that if you order at lunchtime they will do barbecued fish. Recommended !

We're from Italy and this is the most beautiful place where we've eat and relax our body, mind and soul. Here you can find a magic sensation in the air and Manoj is the most friendly man who we saw in this two weeks in Sri Lanka!

Beautiful place with soul and lots of character. Manoj is a very lovely and talented man who has built this cosy place and makes great fresh food! Finding him has definitely been the highlight of our trip so far :) Astrid & Jake

The owner Manoj is an absolute delight! Went for breakfast and came back for dinner! Great coffee and excellent food, with a very peaceful atmosphere. NB Ordering in advance seems to help Manoj out, especially for the Sri Lankan breakfast!
A place to remember and go back to. Manoj is friendly, accomodating, hepful, relaxed and makes your stay enjoyable. Decoration seems to emit positive vibrations, there is tasteful light background music, Manoj's tasty restaurant menu, and the beach. Guys, the beach. It is really long, and you won't see many people there, most of which are local fishermen. Just avoid hindu festival days as there is a temple nearby which is prone to keep the whole peninsula awake at night. To get there, don't ask for Navalady, because locals will send you to a town of that name 60km north. Ask for Kallady beach, then you will find it.

A chilled out guest house with a restaurant/café that is open for much of the day. Has a hippy vibe to it but not in an annoying way. They do breakfast (Sri Lankan or Western) and also a slow cooked rice and curry. Slow means slow; ideally you should tell the cook in advance for when you want your meal ready. At the moment this area is virtually deserted so this is one of the only places to eat.
Ours souls connected. Excellent guy and a nice place to hang around, talk and drink a cup of coffee. If only there were more people in the world like Mano. All the best man.

I happend to be the first guest. I was really happy to be there. It's such a peacefull place. If you get the chance: go there. It is in the middle of nowhere. It is small but cosy. The owner build a small cabine for guests.
