Providence Children's Museum is what you should see after having a meal at Somo. Do not delay your visit – seriously, the Japanese cuisine is waiting for you. Eating perfectly cooked sushi, volcano roll and tempura is what a number of clients recommend. You will be offered good chocolate cakes. Most likely, you'll return to this restaurant later to order delicious martinis, wine or beer. You will be offered great matcha. Select between indoor and outdoor seating. In accordance with the guests' opinions, prices are adequate. There is a homey atmosphere and terrific decor at Somo. Google users like this place: it was granted 4.5 stars.

Highly highly recommended, can’t say it enough. It’s worth the drive to providence! The service was very very friendly, helpful, and pleasant. The restaurant was very nicely decorated and very clean. The food was so delicious. The sushi rolls were very innovative, unique, and tasty. All the ordered items were delicious with no exception. In my opinion, this is the best sushi spot in RI. I’ve never had anything I didn’t enjoy here, and the service is super friendly. But can we just talk about what it means to “eat with your eyes” first?? The food is BEAUTIFUL. The Okinawa plate and Raymond St signature roll are striking. It’s a true dining experience. I also love the burrata appetizer because how many times do you find burrata and grilled peaches at a Japanese restaurant? And those peaches are like nectar bombs. I also enjoyed the chicken karaage, which was new to me and oh so delicious. I highly recommend!

Food is exceptional, staff is fantastic and Nino, the owner, is amazing! With the food and service as phenomenal as it is, I recommend this restaurant for anyone who enjoys great food and great service. We will definitely be making this a regular destination. 5-stars!! Don't be fooled by the other 5 star reviews. They're either fake or paid for. Read the low rated reviews as they speak the truth. Ordered silk tofu, which was just regular tofu dipped in some sauce. The soft shell crab was crab Rangoon you find at any Chinese restaurant, just more deep-fried. The sushi, as mentioned in the other low rated reviews, is what you get at a grocery store. The fancy ones are for pictures only! There's plenty of good food on the same street. Skip this one. Note: You'll see so many good foods in the reviews, but they'll be "seasonal," which means they never make it. Or maybe they do, but it won't be on the regular menu. My adult daughter and I enjoy catching up over dinner. Sushi is typically our meal of choice. We like to try new places, this time it was Somo Kitchen and Sushi. From the moment we walked in the door Nino made us feel welcomed and ensured we had the best service. If you are looking for amazing food and service then check out Somo. It’s cute in here. I like what they’ve done with the place. The food didn’t take too long to come out. The price for the vegetable rolls is a bit more than most places BUT it is a slightly bigger roll as well. I think it would maybe be better to offer one cheaper option with less. Really friendly people, a nice atmosphere (albeit with some confusing decor), great service, and pretty good food too! I ordered the Hole-in-one and Richmond St sushi rolls and both were flavorful and satisfying. But I will say that the place is expensive for the food to price ratio. Btw, I spoke to the owner and this place is halal and serves no pork (despite it saying so in the menu). The owner is Muslim and you can ask him for more information. 10/10. This place is a GEM. The spicy tuna roll, the best I’ve had. Simple but fresh and so flavorful! I sat outdoors on their cute patio facing the street, so you can still people watch. My server Jesse was friendly and knowledgeable and the food was prompt. The manager Nino greeted all his tables. It was really an all-over nice experience.
