Smoke & Bitters, is this fantastic cocktail spot by the beach, surrounded by coconut trees. The cocktails are amazing, and you can catch a sweet sunset vibe. The staff are super chill and helpful, and the place has a great vibe. It’s mostly outdoorsy, but they’ve got indoor spots too. Definitely reserve ahead if you’re heading to Hiriketiya, it’s a must-hit spot!

Amazing place!! The ambience, food, view, staff.. everything was great. You have to book though, we didn’t book but they were able to accommodate us thankfully. We got the shrimp, cauliflower, and calamari as appetizers. Then we ordered the ribs and the chicken. We would definitely come back here!! 10/10

I recently visited Smoke & Bitters in Dickwella, Sri Lanka, and it was an amazing experience. The cocktails were some of the best I've had, made with local ingredients and a lot of creativity. The food was great too, and the staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. The setting of the restaurant is just perfect, especially for enjoying the sunset. It's definitely a place I'd recommend for anyone looking for a special dining experience in Sri Lanka.

This is an absolute must stop on your trip to Hiriketiya. Many things aren’t quite what they promise to be in this beautiful country, but this place is just the ticket. Very smooth yet unpretentious service, from making the reservation to dealing with slight mistakes. The food is unusual and delicious, made freshly to order and very good value for money, the cocktails are the icing on the cake. I commend the people who put time and effort into creating this place with such high standards using 100% local staff who are all excellent. This is no easy feat, well done!

I have to admit, this place is amazing. The atmosphere, the food, the service. It's all on a grade higher than I imagined it could be.
Absolute wonder and diamond in the coastal line.
If you do come here, order the cauliflower. This has been one of my best culinary experiences over a really long time. I could just sit and savour every single bite. The taste pallet is so well developed that my first bite made me fall in love. This is amazing. I could easily put that dish in my top 10 dishes I have eaten in the world.

One of the best restaurant experiences of my life - up there with Coyol in Costa Rica!
We had two dinners in Hirikitia and came to Smoke and Bitters both nights. The restaurant has a great ambiance. It looks stunning and is paired with ocean views and a great sunset.
The cocktails were great as was the food. I’m a sucker for smoked food and the best dishes were the short ribs and the salted caramel / chocolate dessert. I wish I could try everything on the menu!
It’s expensive for compared to other restaurants in the area, but great value overall for the quality of the food and cocktails.
