Sisu is a fine restaurant which for its area could not be closer to excellent. Its possibly the best restaurant in Picton and has a varying menu to display. Expected lamb and seafood dishes are a delight here and the views from the outside tables are phenomenal. Staff too, we’re phenomenal. Well accomodating even if i turned up a bit late with my reservation (recommended). The food proved slightly too basic for 5 stars in my opinion. Highly recommend when in the area! Great food, nice wine & a cozy place. Although the meals are quite small & pricy, the staff does not fail to hint customers to that. Therefore it's a fair deal. I also enjoyed the view a lot.

Stunning. Such a good find and such a good (and worthy) addition to the Picton waterfront. Fresh locally sourced ingredients. Strong Finnish and Japanese influences. REALLY good wine list and craft beers. Seriously impressive. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I can see why this place gets all 5 star reviews. Both food and service were exceptional. Standout dishes were the meatballs and venison - both very flavourful dishes with lovely juicy tender meat. We also loved the tempura cabbage, so crispy and crunchy (though was a tad greasy). The spinach and goat cheese pancakes weren't quite to our taste, but were beautifully presented and an interesting flavour combination. Would highly recommend this restaurant!

Had a wonderful evening at Sisu, the food is exquisite, the presentation is immaculate, and the care that goes into the ingredients is to be celebrated. We didn’t order a dish we didn’t immediately want more of, and we can’t wait to go back. The food is seasonal, so enjoy what is there at the time - it will be the best. The staff make you welcome, and we couldn’t have felt more comfortable. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $100+

Amazing dining experience, one of those restaurants you would give 6 stars if you could. It's run by a Finnish/german couple serving Finnish classics in fine dining style. By sheer coincidence i actually went here with a Finnish couple and they explained to me that most of these dishes can be traced back to finland. Would highly recommend trying the Mushrooms, Crudo and Venison. These to me are absolute musts as the flavour combinations are brilliant. Nevertheless, the other 2 dishes we had were also delicious. The staff was both really professional and cheerful. The service was quick and the atmosphere was nice. It's fine dining at a very reasonable price, as it is not much more expensive than the more standard restaurants around it. Didn't expect that sweet local place right by the sea! The food was delectable, refined, delicate and very creative! The service was excellent, friendly and they really know their products. Loved the NZ wine selections! Will go everytime I take the boat :) Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Great position looking out over the sound. The food is small plates but the choice and quality are 5 star. Refined, simple and elegant vegan options, including a subtly flavoured tempeh and delicious creamy tofu sauce with asparagus. Great views over the harbour and a sensational wine list of local vintages. Helpful and passionate owner was very sensitive to vegan diets. Favourite place in Picton.
