Since there are no food pictures to linger on, I will try to keep this as simple as possible. We went to this new restaurant Serai Bistro yesterday, and what food and what ambiance. Not just another typical Lebanese/ Mediterranean greasy spoon, there. We were late and called up the restaurant, and they were good enough to keep it open for us. The manager is very polite and a courteous staff for sure.
I can definitely tell what a good hummus tastes like, and I thought nothing can match Arz Lebanon and Al-Maghreb until now. Hummus was very close to authentic lebanese for me.
Everything on the BBQ platter was worth trying. And looked very appealing.
On waiter's recommendation we ordered their Surf 'n Turf as well, wasn't really good. It just felt like they're trying a lot with it.
The Ambience of the place is very impressive, calm (at least @ 2300hrs) and serene too!
It was all a bit heavy on our pockets, though. A pizza, 2 hummus, a platter for 2, one Surf 'n Turf and 3 drinks was all for 7k.
This is my new favorite eatery with full bar, cozy atmosphere and absolutely wonderful traditional Mediterranean and Middle-Eastern dishes - some prepared with surprisingly pleasant and one-of-a-kind ingredients. Modestly priced and down-to-earth pleasant servers make this a unique stand-out among ethnic eateries.
I ordered food in; so much salt that almost bitter. Called and asked to talk to the manager who was not available. To begin with the order was delivered after an hour though I live in the vicinity.
