Value for money: YES this is the second time I went to this place. Food is really tasty. Really flavourful. Their main focus is on rice and curry. While they have other options. Fried rice, biryani, string hoppers and kottu. This is an extremely busy place. Usually in the evening this place is fully packed. The staff is very friendly. You can ask for a second serve if you want. For rice and curry by default you get dhal curry then either coconut sambole or mallum ( herbal leaves ) then two of your own picks and then a protein( beef, chicken, pork or mutton) Only one washroom but it's okay. Amazing food, but they will charge tourist for buffet menu 1800, locals have 400-800, we agree with that but they charged us for more dishes and they wanted from us almost 6000 for two lunches. Food was amazing, just pay attention and pay before you start eating. Price per person Rs 2,000–2,500 Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

It's a great place. Was not crowded at that time. Food is really good affordable and you have many options to choose from. Friendly staff. It's a cute place. The portions are really good. You might not be able to eat a normal Chicken fried rice. I had to confirm again about the portion sizes after ordering. Very affordable. Definitely the best restuarant to have authentic sri lankan food. They have a wide variety of sri lankan curries . All food items we tried tasted really good. Specially the lake fish curry. Foods are awesome so far. Me and my wife enjoyed their foods . Foods are tasty. I suggest that If you can plant a two terminal Hand wash sink near the dining area , it would be a great thing . A few years ago i had lunch at Sambole restaurant in Dambulla.actually it's was really really amazing.no words.i'm truly happy with that experience.but unfortunately i had a very bad experience today at Sambole restaurant in Dambulla.i went to the restaurant around 11.30am this morning.There were about 4 or 5 employees at that time in restaurant.but no employee responded even though i stayed for a while.after that i ordered rice and curry.They mentioned in the price display that one is RS.500.00.but then they said that one is Rs.650.00.no issues.i paid for them.also i didn't get PAPADAM with rice and curry.as well as staff BEHAVIOUR 0%.this time i'm very disappointed with the experience i got today.
