The noodle salad appeared enticing and tasty, especially the crispy roast pork. The pho broth has a robust beef flavor, but it's salty and should be served with more vegetables and herbs. The staff is cheerful and welcoming. I plan to return and sample more dishes. Service Dine in Meal type Other Price per person $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

A perfect Monday lunch at a quiet restaurant. Comfortable space, good music and friendly staff. The guy wearing glasses is very polite and always smiles. The food is not too special but the atmosphere is good, suitable for meeting friends. It is our first time here and we have a marvellous time. Our food came out fast. We had Lemon Grass Beef with Noodles, Stir Fried Prawns with Rice and Salad and Vietnamese Coffee with Condensed Milk. They were all tasty and well seasoned. We will definitely come back again. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
Had rice paper rolls with peanut sauce 11$ which were good Also had beef noodle soup. This was 19$. Not to my liking. And fried chicken which was really good. 8$. Good menu but beef noodle didn’t work out for me . Certainly worth a visit. Will try something different next time..

This used to be one of THE BEST places to eat in Palmerston North. It used to be packed all the time and getting a table was nigh-on impossible! But now, with the new owners, everything the original owners have built over the past few years, has been flushed down the proverbial toilet. We ordered 3 of our regular favourites - the pork and shrimp noodle soup, the waterfall chicken, and the grilled chicken sticky rice, and we were more disappointed than a kid getting socks for christmas. We didn't expect the new owners to make the exact same food, but what was served to us was barely edible. The pork and prawn noodle soup was okay, but the taste was very bland. There was a very economical serving of pork and 3 little prawns. Most of the dish was just noodles. The waterfall chicken, what was once one of the best things we've ever tasted, is now a generic chicken and rice dish. The unique and special flavours are no more, and replaced by ... nothing. The chicken looked like it was steamed, and the sticky rice had colour, but again, no taste. And finally, the grilled chicken sticky rice. Like the waterfall chicken, there was no taste.probably because the "grilled" chicken was boiled or steamed. And if the thought having bland, tasteless food was bad, wait until I tell you how the food was prepared! From my vantage point, and due to the fact that no one else was there, I could see how our 3 dishes were prepared. All of them were simply microwaved and served to us. No wonder the "grilled" chicken from the waterfall chicken and sticky rice was didn't have a nice, crispy coating. No wonder the chicken tasted like it had just taken a bath in tepid water. Needless to say, we're not going back there anytime soon ... or ever! Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
Taste: 4/5 Price: $-$$ Portions: medium The pho was good, but super oily. The pana cotta dessert turned out to be a super sweet lychee drink with tiny cubes of panna cotta on top, a bit misrepresented.

Love the squid salad, so nice and generous, good prices and everything is always so fresh. Nice decor, good and fast service. Visited again recently after lockdown, the service was wonderful and complied to the covid-19 rules. I had the hot Vietnamese coffee to drink which was amazing! We got the chicken skewers appetizer, coconut crumbed prawns and popcorn chicken. And again I got the delicious squid salad. I bought the special duck curry home for my partners dinner and he also loved it! Will definitely be returning

It's not as good as it used to be, unfortunately. I would always order the tofu vege noodle soup, which was packed full of flavour, but the last 2 times I had it, the broth was super bland and forgettable. The time food takes to come out has also gotten worse. Orders used to come out 5-10 minutes tops, but now it's a 20-25 minute wait. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
