It was by chance that I ended up in this restaurant in the middle of a tiny village called Vila Nova de Cacela (at Portuguese Algarve region). Sr. Jorge and Sra Ana were superb hosts. Their impressive homemade food and warm reception made this place something very special. For sure I’ll be back and next time will be a planed one!

It's a traditional little portuguese restaurant in a small village. If you're expecting something flashy or modern, it's not for you! However, if you are into quaint little places, I'd 100% recommend. My sister and I had the steak you cook yourself over the stone and the quality of the meat was spectacular! It came to 29EUR for the both of us and that included chips. Price to quality ratio was insane! In terms of service, they were efficient and gave us some recommendations on where to go out after which was very nice of them. Can't wait to go back! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

You won’t find a better steak on the stone anywhere around! And that’s not all they have to offer... fresh seafood, wines and consistently faultless service and friendly, cosy atmosphere... couldn’t ask for anything better.. oh and always wonderful selection of the finest Portuguese wines!!!

Sabinos is a must-do any time I return to Manta Rota. The bife na pedra (steak on a stone) is an experience that you can't pass up and it is phenomenal. We have had others and it is the finest in the Algarve region. So intimate and enjoyable and the wait staff is a pleasure. Don't miss it! Service was quick but then we were the only 2 people apart from one other woman. The owner was overly familiar. He also bigged up the food too much. We had the pork dish with mushroom and garlic. Portions were on the small side. Quality was on the low side for the food. Prices were excessive for what it was, 26.40. I gave him 40 and was returned 3.60 change. Pointed out the missing 10 euro.

We have never had a bad meal at Sabinos. The steak on the stone is always fantastic but so are the prawns in garlic. Great wine not over priced and a lovely, friendly team who always make us feel so welcome

great food, steak on the stone was the best ever. we gave the owner a 20 euro tip and he came back to the table as he thought we had given him too much money cant get anymore honest than that. we will be going back
