Ruby Sunshine is a great brunch spot. A week prior, I went to the Columbia, SC location. So, when I ate at one of the two Charleston, SC locations, I thought the food would be the same - it wasn't. Although Charleston's was delicious, I enjoyed the Catfish and Grits at the Columbia location more-ER. I also like the Candy Bacon more-ER at the Columbia Ruby Sunshine. The Candy Bacon in Charleston, though delicious, had too much brown sugar resting on it. It made the bacon texture weird and messym. My daughter enjoyed her omelet and grits. I would go back here and try something different. Oh, yeah, the Peach mimosa was delicious. Service Dine in Meal type Brunch Price per person $20–30 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
The food was delicious. We had the Pig candy bacon, fried green tomatoes, sweet heat chicken and French toast bites and catfish and grits. Jarred was our server and had only been there 3 days but he was great. Everyone there was very pleasant and provided great service. I would definitely come back whenever I'm visiting Charleston. Best restaurant in Charleston! The food is always delicious, well prepared, and delivered in a timely manner. Staff is friendly and helpful. Very reasonably priced as well for downtown. Our favorites are the seasonal pancakes, the cinnamon roll pancakes, and the biscuits and gravy. A MUST when visiting Charleston! Food was great, everything was delicious and fresh. Price was right. Service seemed alittle slow and it took a while for the food to get out to us. But it was definitely worth the wait Service Dine in Meal type Brunch Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ruby Sunshine and it was an exceptional experience, thanks in large part to our wonderful waitress, Taylor. Her attentive and friendly service truly enhanced our meal. Taylor's recommendations were spot-on, and she went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. The food at Ruby Sunshine was equally delightful, with each dish showcasing excellent flavors and quality ingredients. From the welcoming atmosphere to the delicious cuisine, my dining experience at Ruby Sunshine, guided by Taylor's excellent service, was truly memorable. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a fantastic dining experience. Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Southern Breakfast

Food here was great and on the more affordable side. The French toast bites were delectable and our omelette was also very delicious. Service was friendly as well. Service Dine in Meal type Brunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes And French Toast Bites
Lukewarm food (was reheated but atill was cold) and lackluster service (still provided a 20% tip). Will sing praises about their fried chicken. It was exceptionally delicious!! As the cousin of Ruby Slippers, which I've frequently visited during my time in Nola, I would sadly say this is more of a Sandal. Would recommend for the fried chicken. This is a really cute little brunch-style diner. The food was pretty good. The southern breakfast was a good value, but everything tasted a tad bit bland. The maple butter that accompanied the homemade biscuits almost made up for it with its sweet, fluffy, and salty goodness. The bacon was well done and crispy as requested. The coffee was good, but cold. The staff seemed unable to keep up with the crowd, despite only being half-full. Our capaccino came after the food was served. The wait staff was a little frantic and the ac was unable to cope with the heat making it a warm and slightly frustrating experience. The bloody mary's were very good, but maybe a touch too spicy for me first yhing in the morning... and slightly hung over. It's a good value and the food is decent - I might have just come on an off-day, but would definitely give Ruby Sunshine another chance. We went here as part of a Charleston food tour. We got French toast bites with a praline sauce and Eggs Benedict. The praline sauce is delicious and makes the dish stand out. The eggs Benedict was also good. It has fried chicken, which is untraditional and makes it too heavy for breakfast in my opinion but it was tasty nonetheless.
