Rotterdam Restaurant is a good place to relax on a weekend with a very good affordable buffet and a variety of grills and drinks. If you go for a chicken soup or grills, your order comes fast and food tastes pretty nice. The only issue I had was loud music at lunch time with no ambiance to dance. I think a lunch time music should be kept at low volume.

Nice place to go for a buffet lunch. Very tasty.
But before deciding for a desert, we were given the bill. So we paid and left. Maybe, they can think about this again and change.

I enjoy it here. Good food. Nice service and it’s quick. I Have noticed though, that whenever I go in, they play Celine Dion. I can’t stand Celine Dion. I would enjoy my time there more without Celine playing.
Edit: I went in again yesterday, no music was playing when we arrived so I thought "perfect!" but nope, as soon as we sat down Celine started playing. I asked them to please not play it, but that stopped nothing. "My heart will go on" is seared permanently into my brain.
Edit 2: I’ve been in twice now since the latest review and I’m pleased to say the food is still tasty, the service is still great, and the music is greatly improved!!
Edit 3: My final edit. Celine is back. While I find her music to be torture, the food here is still good, as is the service. I’ll miss this restaurant after I’ve headed home, but I certainly won’t miss the music.
Customer service is always poor, but I come here because the food is pretty good, buffet style, and it is close to where I live.

Good lunch buffet and feels clean enough to be friendly to sensitive tourist stomachs.
If you order beer make sure to ask for a cold one or you will by default get a warm beer.
Half way to Jro Airport for Arusha we decided to take breakfast at Rotterdam Restaurant.
The waiter was friendly and professional the breakfast was good.
