See King Nikola's Palace and come to this bar. Taste good octopus and nicely cooked pasta that are offered at Riva. A lot of visitors order delicious coffee. There is a beautiful view from this place. Most guests mention that the staff is terrific. According to the clients, the main problem of this spot is the fine service. In accordance with the reviewers' opinions, prices are adequate. The atmosphere is nice, as people find it. This bar is rated on Google 4.2 by its visitors.

My family just loves this place. We keep coming back to it every time we visit Bar. It is the perfect illustration of Bar lifestyle, specially off season. On a windy, cloudy day, it very quiet and nice for working, but when the sun shines, even for an hour, a whole demography od the city tumbles down to Riva to catch some vitamin D, drink a coffee or be served some snacks. Place is friendly, affordable and on a best possible location. Highly recommend, our stays in Bar wouldn't be the same without Riva Bar. As you can see from the pictures the place has a lovely view (like all the other bar/restaurant places around here do as well). I can’t say much about overall food quality as I’ve only had pancakes that were very tasty. The portion is big (2 pancakes). I’ve been here two times this year, attempted going the third time this morning for breakfast. The previous two times the service experience was ok, pretty slow but the waiters were nice and friendly so it evened out. They’ve charged my phone as I was running out of battery and were overall just friendly 😊 And as for morning I can’t even begin to describe the tone and the rudeness of the one person with whom I’ve had a conversation. I came to a completely empty restaurant. There weren’t even a few people, it was completely empty. As it was early the white rocking chairs on the sides didn’t have cushions yet. So I asked politely if I may have a cushion to sit in one of them with a nice view. The guy first reacted as if I’ve asked him to give me his kidney. Then he was dismissive, pointed to the other chairs and said I can go and sit there since I’m only one person - and did that in an extremely passive aggressive tone. And yes. The one place where I wanted to sit is a “separe”. Apparently the exclusivity mindset applies even if there is an empty restaurant on an early morning when the season didn’t even begin yet?!?! Not sure if this particular person didn’t have a good night sleep or what the heck was wrong this morning, but if you want to keep your good mood, you probably shouldn’t go there. As it’s rather a gamble whether you’ll come across a polite person. You definitely don’t need to tolerate rudeness when the coast is filled with other choices.

On previous occasions, I asked the waiters for permission to use the socket many times. There is an extension cord for three sockets, two were connected to garlands and one was free. But today the waiter turned off my charger in front of me without my permission in order to turn on the garlands. It is rude to touch personal things without permission.

If no tips to arrogant waiters, they won't come to you next time. Last time ordered risotto with seafoods, God bless I didn't break my tooth, but cut my gum by unpeeled mussel. Good place to drink beverages from dirty, scratched cups with nice view.

Nice location but very near harbor where people are maintaining boats so expect noise. Also staff is horribly unmotivated and doesn't want to be there. Food doesn't look tasty at all so avoid this when you want more than a drink.
