I've loved Rita's for 40 plus years, over the last few years it has been a poor atmosphere. Carla yells at Joe almost continuously. Not good for Joe but also the customers. It was jut a few months ago I was there with my service dog. I set here down it the seat and a carrier. Just so I could get situated. The plan was to put her on the floor in her carrier. Before I Carla yelled at me about the dog. Of course everyone could hear. Leaving me humiliated. Love the food but the atmosphere is horrible Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 1

My ABSOLUTE favorite place to eat. Everyone there is so kind and makes you feel like family. Rita always gave kids a sucker when she was there. The food is AMAZING. The red chili is HOT but so good. I could go on and on about this place. Definitely the best. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Honestly, I don't get it. I'm seeing a lot of five-star reviews here… I definitely did not get a five star experience. I love Mexican food and eat lots of it. But this place lacked a lot: There is absolutely no sense of décor. It's basically just a big room with chairs and tables. They could just change the sign outside to Sushi or Pizza, and they would not have to change a thing inside. I can forgive a lack of décor if the food is great. The food wasn't great. I got a combo plate with three different items, none of which were memorable (neither good nor bad — just okay). And this is the first Mexican restaurant I have ever been to that did not offer complimentary chips and salsa as an appetizer. That's just plain odd. The servers were pretty slow, although that could be blamed on the fact that it was lunch time and the place was hopping. There is only one bathroom, which is small and was stacked with supplies. With others giving it such a high rating, I cannot help but wonder if those are from mostly local people who might be biased in their reviews (as I am in my own hometown) because they want to see the restaurant succeed. And I can't call it a bad experience — just not a great one either, sorry. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!! This place is somewhere I would consider home! The people and atmosphere are so welcoming, I feel like when I walk in this restaurant, I'm walking into my grandma's house, and everyone is considered family! This is a family ran business, but the customers are treated like family as well! The food is amazing!!!!! I have been coming here for over 10 years, and I have never once been disappointed! You could eat the same thing each time or try something new, No matter what, you will walk away full and extremely happy! Plus, they have fresh homemade donuts during breakfast! 🤤 I'm beyond thankful for the amazing staff and great food!! Went to breakfast here for the first time. A lot of great options on the menu and great prices. Had the sausage and egg breakfast with green chili and potatoes and a pancake. The green chili is a gravy just how I like with good cheese. The potatoes were amazing and crispy and go great with the green chili. Some of the best food I've had in Pueblo. Really enjoyed my time. Service Dine in Meal type Brunch Price per person $10–20
Looks like a hole in the wall but really great breakfast food. We got a standard 2 egg, sausage breakfast and a breakfast burrito. The burrito (especially smothered in green chili) was delicious. And less than $4! The egg meal was good. Side potatoes were really well seasoned and cooked! The staff were friendly, fast and helpful. They also brought out free cinnamon sugar donuts at the end of the meal. Really good! Tasted like sopapillas. Final bill was under $15 for both meals and drinks. Great, inexpensive option when in downtown Pueblo!
