The kebabs here are just too good. Original mamadi kebab flavor. It's just too good. We ordered a dozen kebabs per person then another half dozen too, they have a little salad to go with it and u can have it with either a thick slices of bread or mahambris, which u order separate. U can have soda to go with it too, also ordered separately. U can dine in or take out too. There is street parking outside, or u can street park on the main road too and just walk down. It's not very wheelchair friendly, so u need to make arrangements for any person on a wheelchair to be lifted up.
In the morning they sell freshly made mahambris, round ones, at 10/shs per PC. That's the price right now. They start making their kebabs at lunch time.
I would go there again. It has become pricey from the Older days but I would definitely recommend it and go there again anytime ...

The best kababs in mombasa..guaranteed!
The original ricoda cafe was one of the go-to places for visitors in Mombasa. Open until late night in the 80's, the place was packed to capacity every night during the holiday season. What drove people in were sumptuous charcoal grilled kababs, served with salad, toast bread and a small selection of chutneys. Not royal fare by any means, but delicious nonetheless.
The old man running they place passed away a few years ago, but it is still a family run business, albeit in another location in magical old town kibokoni.
The décor is ramshackle, service is wanting, but the kababs are still as awesome as they were twenty years ago. A must visit for all BBQ lovers.
Update on my review: the restaurant recently underwent renovations, and the facelift has done wonders for the place.
For all African food this is the nice place to take your family
